The Manchester United Thread

Well, I gotta say it really is weird how long this Fellaini deal takes. Stealing best player of your previous club on a deadline day? It has a vibe of a panic buy or serious incompetence in handling the transfer market.

Exactly my feeling about it.

According to SSN sources Baines wants to talk to Utd.

This kids is why I hate deadline day :@

Moyes and Wenger have done nothing the whole window now they're both at it like a pack of wolves today!

What were they doing, playing a game of who can hold out the longest without buying a proven player?

It could be worse, a team could have come in for him just before the start of the season resulting in the player refusing to play for the next couple of games. That worked out well for Cabaye though.. haha!

Well look at the bright side guys, at least you will have huge transfer budget available when playing United in FM 2014.

Please, no.

You are kidding right? The best English LB in the Prem? And you'd say no?

doesn't matter anyway-just been confirmed on SSN it ain't going to happen in any circumstances. Subject to change of course

Transfer chicken? Who blinks first that is the question.

Don't disagree best LB in PL, but we have a very good LB and the amount that we would have to pay to land him is stupid, LB is not our problem.

Well the last bid was £15 million so not really that outstanding tbh

Yeah, and they called that "insulting", they want around £30m which imo is outrageous when we already have a perfectly good LB.

Kagawa and Baines down the left would be deadly i think (assuming Shinji would often drift inside, never seen him play as LW).

Extra threat down the left, extra threat down the middle - something that's currently missing. So then you don't need creative midifielder as much, can set up for a proper caveman to play alongside Carrick - Fellaini would do. Things would look so much more solid.
