The Manchester United Thread

Probably not... sigh. Herrera is the star signing I wanted. Everything about him, the leadership qualities included.

Agreed. In the end, Coentrao and Fellaini are good signings and I think they'll do well, but we're still short and it's the way we've handled the whole window start to end has been an embarrassment.

I still don't get the Coentrao one.... is he really any good as LW? Has Moyes viewed him as someone to play there considering he targeted Baines before though?

Thing i dont understand is Moyes saying i did not start till july 1st? The club must have surly had targets and fergie aswell would have given him advice or names he had been looking at plus our great scouting network, just ecuse to me should never have been left this late

Quality footballer, good crosser of the ball. Will actually attempt to offer a threat down the left other than praying Paddy is on his bike to take over.

Coentrao is really going? I read something about some time issue that broke the deal. Fellaini confirmed?

The Fellaini thing is still inexcusable, 27.5m we paid when we could of got him cheaper and a lot less stress-free when he had the release clause. These transfers just don't make any logical sense in their own ways.

And that's why we love and hate football at the same time ;)

Ah yes I also saw that fax thing. Real was set to get Siqueira from Granada, Benfica wanted to get Siqueira too but Real seems to have stepped up after they knew about the possible Coentrao sale, however as it is still not certain they seem to have dropped Siqueira and keeping Coentrao, putting him in line for a possible transfer with Benfica, money + Coentrao for Matic.

It's a big mess though.

Fellaini confirmed. Rumours now we didn't send the fax in time. Wouldn't surprise me.

Manchester United have just paid £27.5M for Marouane Fellaini after offering £28M for Fellaini and Baines, while the former had a buy-out clause inserted into his contract of £23M by David Moyes, now manager of Manchester United.

Farcical.

no excuse at all considering everyone knows our midfield needed strengthening for a couple years now

Still have till midnight for coentrao if papers were sent in time. FINGERS CROSSED! If not what a joke 22:59 signing no one 23:05 signed afro man and coentrao 11:45 we loose coetrao oh my heart

Aren't the league sometimes lenient over minutes? I remember Spurs getting VDV after the deadline I think?
