The Manchester United Thread

Sky Sports have just said that talk is David Moyes wants to start deploying Patrice Evra as a left winger, hence the chase for a left-back all summer.

Erm...

@Manu_Sainz:

"Coentrao will stay at Real Madrid. Information, not opinion."

He seems pretty certain, yet more heartache. :(

Coentrao stays at Madrid, Benfica signs Siqueira on a loan. Bahahaha Madrid.

Some portuguese media reporting Coentrao might still go, I doubt it though.

Doesn't Siqueira play for Granada? How's that relevant to United?

"BBC Sport has learnt that Manchester United did submit their paperwork for their season-long loan deal for Fabio Coentrao before the 2300 BST deadline. But the move will only go ahead if both United and Real Madrid entered the correct details of the deal on Fifa's new transfer matching system. The deadline for that system closed at midnight."

Can feel GC's smugness from here. Be spending all night writing witty 1 liners for the morning.

So why are people disappointed with Fellaini? I understand the whole £22 million instead of £27 million, but he's still a great player who is still to hit his prime. So why are people saying he isn't Man Utd quality?

I suspect Mike. is going to have patience issues with him lol

He's not said anything in a while. He's either gone on the hunt for Woodward, or GC finally drove him over the edge.

Aye lol. I suspect the latter. And if he tried to hunt down Woodward, he wouldn't be able to get near him due to the sheer number of Utd fans already after him anyway lol

David Ornstein says our loan deal for Fabio Coentrao has collapsed.

Most reliable person on Twitter when it comes to transfers from what I've seen. I'd say pretty confidently (allbeit while being gutted) that we've missed out on him.

i'd say he is a good signing putting the price tag and the timing aside. he'll bring strength to our midfield which we don't have
