The Manchester United Thread

Where you said that we had a 3 goal lead and we just slowed the game down to see it through is not Manchester United's philosophy, we go for the win whether it is 0-0 or 3-1. Personally I don't think it was a case of slowing down play to see out the game, but a rather poor second half plain and simple. The three subs, no matter if they were injuries or not destroyed the game for us. That isn't really anyone's fault, certainly not Moyes' as he had to make the subs either way.
The United way? Yes, it's all good having a club philosophy, but in times like this, would you rather United lost 4-3 or won 3-1? I know that's not relevant to this specific game, but sacrificing tactic common sense for a philosophy is stupid - even the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona have changed their philosophies to be more pragmatic!

Ridiculous, but I'm sure FA will do nothing about it.
Disgusting from Riether/Amorebieta(?), that clearly looks deliberate.

Such a disgrace from Young tbh. Deserved pen save, however Young needs to sort that **** out.

We don't need Young at all. He can't be squad player as well. Club should free some space with selling Young and Anderson.

Yeah I'd like to see him gone, it's pretty embarrassing seeing him flop. Very fair of RVP in missing the penalty by bouncing it off the post and letting the keeper still save the rebound though. Classy.

United overall seemed very poor, and this has to be one of the first full Utd games I've seen this season, but it just felt like they had no ideas, nobody lifting up their head in midfield and hitting a long pass over the top. Perhaps Rooney and RVP can bludgeon a lot of teams together, but the midfield did look awfully *****.

**** shock horror.

Please start playing Zaha. I was cool with him leaving, but not to see him rot away on the bench. Even if he is banging Moyes' daughter. Lad.

He doesn't track back as well as Young, though.

Doesn't Young find it hard to track back when he's on the floor appealing for a peno?

Zaha can't stand still and pass to Evra on the overlap as well, nor can he cut inside before he gets tackled and overhit a cross into the box.

True. I mean, Zaha can beat a fullback with pace and trickery. Don't think he'd fit into the team TBH.

These things can be worked on.. I mean you can't tell me Fergie would let him do that.

Anyway on Sunday I think it's time to bring Arsenal fans back down to earth, well we may have been poor so far, this would be perfect opportunity to redeem ourselves and got to remember we're 8 points behind so can't really afford to lose at any cost.

Looking at how we are performing at home this season and how good Arsenal is, I'm praying for a draw.

Any truth in the moyes didn't fancy ozil story? Is it just mind games or has he been misquoted?

not read just heard it flying about but can't find reliable source on my phone

David Moyes: I could have beaten Arsenal to both Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil | Metro News

It was no news that Ancelotti decided that Real should sell Oezil. He had choice between Di Maria and Oezil and chose Oezil.

He's trying to play mind games, but it isn't really working for him. Especially the Ramsey part.

It's not mind games. Just that he said what happened. ManUtd had the chance to sign Ramsey so did Everton. In the end both lost to Arsenal (more to do with United ******* it up big time), in the same way many journalists reported that Ozil was offered to ManUtd even before he was even linked with Arsenal.

Mind games is just a load of **** and the so called expert SAF denied it in every interview.
