The Manchester United Thread

Lallana just paper talk coz January is nearly here and we will be linked with anyone playing well at the time. We don't need a new CB we Have Evans,Smalling,Jones and Vidic for at least another season or 2 plus I think Micheal Keane should get promoted next season! We only need to spend big on CM and Wide players if the right players are available.

I think we've got past the stage of "If the right players are available". Considering how desperate we are for a quality midfielder it's more a situation of "Quality player interested, pay the price". United only got themselves to blame to be in this position considering the monumental farce of last summer and all the previous years we've just let great players slip through our fingers, without addressing the issue just because we were winning at the time, it was bound to come back and bite you in the ***.

I don't mind spending big just don't want another Fellaini or spend like 40m on Herrera or someone of that quality for that price. For that money should be looking at player like Modric,Gundogan,Reus,Draxler but are these even gettable? Will have to see, don't think so in Jan anyways.

I think United could do with a new CB because Ferdinand and Vidic have made so many mistakes this season hope Moyes spends big!

It would be shame if we sign a CB. Evans is superb and Smalling is getting back to his best as a CB. We have Jones who is superb anywhere on the pitch. So that's first 3 CBs who are good enough for CB spot and also have massive potential to get even better.

After that we have Keane who could become really good CB and also Thorpe. I'm not saying these youngsters will go on to become superstars but Evans, Smalling, Jones are good enough and Keane can become really good squad player.

Good to get back level after some shocking defending early on. Class goal by Rooney not bad way to bring up 150. Some poor decision for the corner that led to 1st goal! Need to start quick in 2nd half and get early lead then we can dictate play. Also Januzaj has changed game a bit attack wise can see figeroa getting 2nd yellow this half.

What an undeserved lead, Hull have been much the better team in second half.
Game seems to have swung back into United favor though now after that own goal.

Sign of champions? Winning when not playing well.

Hate to say it as Liverpudlian but yeah it is. I say it every year. When you're playing bad but still grinding out the results, that is what makes champions. Still can't see it happening for United this year.

It's possible, but squad needs reinforcing to do it, and Carrick has to stay fit, if Fletcher can get into top form again we have a chance. I think its City's to lose though.

Reus and Draxler really aren't the kind of player you need, to be honest. Modrić or G?ndoğan would be perfect though.

This is true, but I think it's exaggerated. If a team doesn't play well for the whole season, and wins a lot; they're not going to be as good as a team who players well for the whole season, and wins a lot. This is purely hypothetical, though, I guess, the latter's not likely to happen in real life.

Lol that excuse maybe works if you're actually leading the table. Not struggling to be in top 6.

Dude we've played at about 1/4 of our potential at best and yet we're still in with a shout of title contenders. Plus, we've arguably just gone through the most difficult managerial transition that any club in the world has had to deal with.

A midfield of winger who's 40, chubby Brazilian, centreback, mix of defensive midfielder and oak tree plus Cleverley and Carrick and we're 8 points of 1st? In our first season without SAF? I think that's decent at least.

To be fair, the potential argument can be said about the likes of Chelsea and City as well
