Actually that was all on Fabio, and then evans. One sent off 3 minutes after coming on, the other loses his man completely. that was looking like 1-1 till the red card.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure Strootman was a Fergie target which Moyes turned down... Mike you know anything about this?
And yes there should have been a list, but the Moyes was always going have his own targets. What he needed was an experienced CEO to guide him through his first window, we really needed Gill to see that window out.
Strootman was a target for neither really, scouted a couple of times, but we ( and other tops clubs) didnt even enquire, Roma took a gamble and it paid off. Strootman himself said he was never mentioned or ever talked about by anyone outside Roma, so SAf/Moyes never made anything more than a report on him.
Really?! Not Fabregas? When it was obvious that Fabregas would never come he wasted a lot of time going after him.

Fabregas is on Woodward not being savvy enough. Thiago, Moyes just had to green light, and unofficial agreements would have resulted in the clause being triggered.

So whos left for Moyes to target then? Herrera,Rakitic,Cabaye,Griezmann,Benatia,Coentrao,Moreno,Shaw? Oh and been reading on a few forums that UTD have sent scouts to Juve-Roma game and possibly will have scouts at Bilbao,Madrid game.
Not a bad piece. It would be easier if the issue was one place, but its a number of areas. Top to bottom, everyone needs to be decisive, CEO, manager, players. Someone needs to spark it. If I was Ferguson I would tell him in private "this is your moment. Target your 2-3 players you need now and demand they get them at any cost" Because its true, this is a month where Moyes can start to make a real impact, positively or negatively.
Realistically? Rakitic, Cabaye, Griezmann Coentrao. All at a premium but fair targets to get two, maybe 3 of them.

Agree mate. Would most likely have to pay over the odds but do you think its worth it for these player? I certainly like all 4 of those and think they would improve us big time after watching them alot this season.
I'd say Newcastle will stiff you for 30m for Cabaye at the moment. Similar fees for the others. "If they blow 28m on Fellaini and valued Cabaye at ?18m for Arsenal, we an get a lot more for him with Utd desperate and our league positions comparable".
Others have 30m clauses, Coentrao available sub 15m

After paying 27.5m for Fellaini I would happily pay 60m for Cabaye

Been lots of reports saying Coentrao would be available for 12m which I thinks a bargain!
Just stay away from Matic and Rakitic. Chase down Kovacic if you need someone from Balkan. Missed chance on Modric, well, Mateo is going to be much better.
Like I said during pre season, I had no idea what is Moyes type of play, his ideas. Now I get some picture. Just plain survival. At this rate, I'm afraid he wont be Uniteds manager next season. Situation with players are bad, but can someone tell me was this Swansea team better than Uniteds? Purely player wise. I was expecting much more from Moyes. Let's hope he can deliver something innovative. God knows we need some miracle.

Mateo isnt ready to control and be a midfield general (in leadership as well), though I think he is a brilliant young talent. Rakitic is. We're going to lose a few senior heads in the next 12 months, need that next set. Rakitic suits it down to a tee
Rakitic is the one I would sign now at all costs, and by any means necessary. Griezmann I've raving about for 2 years, to the point where it annoys people. Coentrao is still a very good player, and a cheaper alternative to Shaw.
Rakitic is? ****** ****, that guys is anything but leader. He had drinking problems ( bet he still have), he was/is true party man, he would miss trainings.. I think he was involved even in a bar fight. And he has bad musical taste, but that irrelevant.
Kovacic offers drive and energy in midfield, someone who can run with the ball, but to make intelligent runs without it. I honestly don't remember last midfielder in United who was capable of doing so.
