I read somewhere we are after Marvin Martin ( I think, he's frenchman and playmaker). 10m pounds for him. I don't even know who is he ?

All this talk about sanchez I think it would be an amazing opportunity to sign xherdan shaqiri who wouldn't cost much and is similar in ability.

Not at all convinced by the story. Simple, as Chelsea made the bid,

Interviewer: Would you like to join Chelsea (If the offer is accepted and all)

Modric: Why not, they are fighting to titles every year so.

Story: Modric is keen on joining Chelsea..

I'd give Sneijder whatever wages he wants tbh. He has alot more match winning qualities than Modric and is exactly what we need!

Haven't seen much of him but that debut was special.

I saw that clip yesterday. Amazing debut. But I don't know anything else about this guy.

He looks very skillful and technically a great player, but very lightweight. It would certainly be interesting to see him in the premier league

Marvin or Pato?

Not seen any of Marvin, but his stats make for some good reading, 19 assists, averaging 2.14 key passes a game, 82% pass completion, major set piece threat.

not a finisher by any means, and needs to work on his crossing

That's why I'm glad we're signing Gervinho - or at least, I'm not too disappointed about signing Gervinho and not Hazard. Much more clinical and a better finisher.

Not sure how much real interest there is in him tbh. Quite a lot of it is probably papers looking for a story, and his agent making noises after an impressive international debut. Of course it was all over twitter at the time that because Wenger was commentating on the game, he saw him and would try to sign him... Then I just think the media spun the rest.

I imagine both Wenger and SAF have had a look, though. Interestingly, Wenger seemed to suggest he was more ready than Hazard was for a big move (as in, a big club/England - not necessarily big money)
 
I'm not sure on the strength of the Marvin rumours, but I know we have been watching Patricio Rodriguez for a while now. I'd like to sign him actually (pato), he's a really direct and exciting player but I feel he is better suited to a winger/second striker role, and with strong rumours of Ashley Young or perhaps Alexis Sanchez, I'd be surprised if we stepped up our interest at this stage. We need a more disciplined player who can drive from deep, and provide creativity from a central position rather than an amc. I think Defour might become a more suitable option given that Sneijder, Modric and Hamsik deals are becoming less likely.
 
Pato, scored 2 and had 1 assist, IMHO best player on pitch, great pace, dribbling and passing, but he dwells on ball too much and Im afraid he's too "small" for EPL. And Fuelledbypassion, he started game as winger, being very good on left side. And Fuelledbypassion I know you are fan of youth talent, here's another link for you ( and everybody else :D )
