The Manchester United Thread

not if they cannot meet their other targets

also Barca have recieved the TV money and CL money, they have significantly more money than they are saying pubically (this will be shown when their financial reports are shown) but its not good business sense to tell the world how much you are willing to spend, takes away your leverage

Rossi and Sanchez are being tracked for the same role, as is Mata

Im not saying he will go to City. But thats the most likely option now by far. Pozzo is getting more greedy and greedy and Sanchez price will be around 35-40m euros when he gets sold.

Seriously...Barca aren't willing to offer that much and i can't see them willing to offer it anytime soon. I could get suprised but thats how it is now.

Their main targets are Sanchez + Fabgregas. And they have a few 2m-3m deals in place aswell. They are likely to turn to Mata or Rossi If Sanchez is too expensive. Which he is now.

This is going so much off topic so it's better that this discussion ends here. I hope he ends up somewhere but Barca. I would hate him if he joined them.

Anyone believe the NOTW story that we'll bid £20M for Nasri this week?

Borghi is allowing Sanchez to fly to Spain from the national side to talk to Barca, becuase if he gets injured with them they would be liable to pay 30m of the fee. Pozzo is using this time to grandstand to all sides over an increased bid, but the only team the player is talking to is Barca.

Hard to be in pole position if the player isnt willing to talk yet

Thats not a official confirmation. + Atleast a the last part of it is fake because Barca aren't upping their offer to 50m. Thats bullshit. They are struggling to offer even half of that.

Gianpaolo Pozzo: 'Diamond' Alexis Sanchez worth €50m - ESPN Soccernet

It's not that Sanchez aren't willing to talk to City yet. City haven't had a bid even accepted yet. It's true that Sanchez pretty much HAS to complete the transfer before Copa.

They are waiting if Barca can offer enough. Sanchez wants his options to be open.

The truth is that Sanchez much prefers a move to Barca.

Wrong they are not struggling, they are currently unwilling, becuase they actually have contact with the player. They are using that as leverage in coming to a deal

Read the second part of my post. Barca will reduce debt and have a budget of 45m euros + sales. Udinese want to sell to the highest bidder.

Sanchez prefers Barca. But he will not go there unless they get a bid accepted. And he is willing to listent to City/other clubs if Barca can't offer enough.

Rosell already said they are not willing to overpay for a player. They have other targets like Fabregas and Rossi/Mata. Which makes them unable to use all of their funds on Sanchez for now.

City can offer all in one payment in cash. Something no one else could do..expect Chelsea i think.
I'd like to know how you all know this.

Speculation:
Reports in Italy claim Manchester United are to make a big-money approach for Napoli's highly-rated forward Edinson Cavani. It is understood the Red Devils had the Uruguayan watched on several occasions last season.

- I can dream. :(

So people.....do you think that Ashley Young is better than the possible ManCity signing Alexis Sanchez?

It seems very likely that Sanchez will sign for City unless Barca can break the bank which seems unlikely now?

Sanchez or Young?

Oh so nice of you to comment on Man Utd thread about City. Make your own City thread. And I'm hoping City will sing Sanchez. Better to rot in City than in Barca.

PHEW! Was scared we'd have to face him and his infamous 30 yard screamers early on in the season!

Don't worry, Gibson will be the man who starts the usual Arsenal collapse around February :P
