The Manchester United Thread

I really really am starting to despise Park.....we play him because he "has great energy"....so do most dogs....he can't pass any further than two yards and even if he does run around alot (which id on't particularly think he does anymore) it's at such a slow pace that it is detrimental if anything...opening up spaces for the opposition.

You already posted this before mate.

This was coming, we need someone to blame, just against Wigan he was **** good. When you play him as CM its not his mistake. He is not a CM.

If the year began with the end of the career of our right back it has ended with the end of the career of our left back!I mean he was poor as ****! His passes in last 20-25 minutes were so poor that Sir Alex was down on the pitch, He virtually gifted them the free-kick! and Please play Lindegaard instead of De Gea! Only plus was Anderson;his long range passing was good!

People criticise De Gea, but concentrate on the mistakes rather than the many times he's saved our skin. He's not going to improve if we don't play him, and I'll take the odd mistake while he adapts and learns for a season or two and take a world class keeper for the next 10+ years in exchange.

Although I agree with having to play him in order for him to get better and reach potential, he has cost us two goals today that in my opinion, Lindegaard would have dealt better with. In years to come he will be a top class keeper but at the moment, he'll cost us more than he'll save us.

totaly agree dont understand why fergie keeps rotating keepers imo de gea should be number 1 and give him time to get use to prem he is class and will only get better!!!!!!!

Lindegaard has played far less games than De Gea, and hasn't often been tested extensively. Yes, he's good, but there's no guarantee he would cost us any less than De Gea would. De Gea deserves the fans' support not over the top criticism.

Both are good keepers but a lot of the fans are torn between the two and I'm on the side that would like to see Andreas play more. I feel much more assured when he's in goal to be honest.

At times I feel more assured with him too, but I'll side on the development of a potentially world class 'keeper who cost us £18m and could potentially be our number 1 for 15 years.

Peter Schmeichel. Tha's all i will say, if people had been as short term back then, we would never have seen the Legend that is the Great Dane

Dailyfail incoming. Trying to make it seem like there's a rift between Fergie and Rooney.

"Wayne Rooney was sensationally axed from Manchester United’s squad for the Premier League match against Blackburn after a bust-up with manager Sir Alex Ferguson that throws the controversial striker’s Old Trafford future into doubt."

I do love how they bring up his future just because of what happened last season.
Link if anyone who dares to read.

I won't read. It's the mail. 'Nuff said.

I'm totally agree with you. We won't see the legendary goalkeeper, The Great Dane, if people's only want an instant impact on his 1st season. ;)

It's not only De Gea, but the team overall performance was just so poor.

Sir Alex Ferguson has once again come out and said that their will be no new faces coming in during January. I think yesterdays team selection and performance in my opinion proved otherwise and that we are desperate for one or two new faces.. one of which I'd like to see Gary Cahill. Your thoughts?

NO TO CAHILL. no no no no no no no no. Also SAF always says stuff like that, but they will be working in the background. But he wont get just any player though

Okay, I give up.

I have tried repeatedly to see what everyone else does in Gary Cahill, but for the life of me cannot figure it out.

Why do you say no to Cahill? In my opinion he is a lot better than Jonny Evans and with Nemanja out for the rest of season and Rio unreliable with injuries, that leaves us with Jones (who is better in midfield again in my opinion) and Evans so the arrival of Gary would give us another option and lets not forget, he is an international and has looked very good whilst playing for England albeit he hasn't been great at Bolton this season and also at £7mil that would be a steal.
