The Manchester United Thread

"The league need players like Mata, Silva, Yaya, Aguero etc....

It must have been frustrating to watch United dominate the league with a midfield of players like Carrick and Fletcher."

In what way is that trolling? He was giving his input, and because he didn't say "United are the best team" or something along those lines, you accuse him of trolling?

Give over Mike, you use your mod powers to infract/ban people who disagree with you, and don't lick United's ****, and I can assure you, I'm not the only person on this forum who thinks the same.

Danny, shut up

Im not talking about his opinion. he does troll this thread.

I said if. I welcome his opinions as ive debated him plenty before

Stop whinging all the time, stop pretending you;re some avenging angel.

stop wasting my time, and jog on. he has a reputation for trolling, i gave him a friendly warning.

As have you, from lots of mods.

Why do you insist on coming on here then if you don't like how it's run?

The site overall, is ran very well. There are just a few bad apples who abuse there powers.

No, he disagrees & debates stuff, doesn't mean he is a troll..

I'm not moaning, I'm just saying what a large majority think, as I'm not afraid to say it.

You are moaning. and its irrelevant to this thread.

So how about last night's preformance? For me, it was the worst experience i had watching Utd play in quite a while. Absolutely no creativity, just bombing those awful crosses into box hoping for a miracle. Rooney was dreadful, and the rest wasnt much better either. Do u think we need to strenghten our squad in this transfer window?

Just to make it clear. I didn't come here trolling. And all those players played before. Look at that squad Fergie is trying to win the league with now. It doesn't have those great players there (not many).

Look, i'm not coming here licking United either. I try to be as reasonable as i can. City are lifting the standard a bit. Which is IMO just a good thing for the league. (annoying for their rival fans i guess)

re: Madridista

I dont think its good for the league. Its not gonna make other teams go for better players, if they could, they would already. Thing is at this moment nobody can compete with City financially, they can pay for players whatever they need to and offer them ridiculous wages. As for United's squad it is pretty avarage compared to what it used to be, but still easily one of the best in the league.

I'm intrigued. who's this revolutionary army you seem to be the leader of? I thought madrista was trolling with his comment but maybe he just worded it badly. Mike is a very fair mod and that is what the 'large majority' think

Definitley agree the squad isnt as good as before. Think city have added another dimenson, but not raised the league in that sense.

For what is worth, you go off the rails sometimes, and i'd rather warn than actually infract you.

The new dimension has raised the league, thats what my point is, there are more than 2 clubs with all the good players now, as your a utd fan im afraid you can't know what its like being **** with few good players.

what has that got to with anything? completely irrelevant, which is why i ignored it in the first place. There has never been just two clubs with all the good players anyway...

There were at least 4 teams, not 2, competing before you. Now there's Spurs and in some respect Newcastle. City are far less significant to enhancing the league than you make out.

There have always been more than two clubs tbh. It's only the clubs who finish inside the top two and exchange the title on a regular basis that dilutes the competition as a whole - to say it's as if they are not there.

It was Manchester United and Arsenal for a long time until Chelsea came into the equation. It wasn't to say that when Chelsea came in that Arsenal suddenly became mediocre, they were still challenging. Liverpool and Newcastle United as well having to then settle for European spots instead.

I know what Joe is saying, before City and Chelsea got their money there was always 4/5 teams challenging but only 2/3 with a real chance/expectation of winning the league.

This year at the start of the season there were 6 teams being touted as 'Title Contenders' (United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs). As the season has gone on, it's turned more into a two horse race between United and City, with the other 4 fighting to keep up and stay in the Champions League places (which is what it usually was). So I see what he's saying, but when you look at how the season has really gone, it's not that much different to the rest of the seasons title race wise (with the exception of a few massive scorelines e.g. 8-2, 6-1, 5-3 etc)

And Utd's injuries couldn't have come at a worse time. Saying that though, City have players going away on international duty aswell. Next month will be interesting

Don't write off Spurs. If they win Everton at home they are level on points with you. And they ain't that bad. ;) Black horse for title.

Nobody is writing Tottenham off and to be honest I'd rather them win the league than City. I still believe though the title will come down to who knows how to and with the experience Sir Alex and Roberto Mancini have in winning titles will see their teams through.
