Sir Alex wants Frank!

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a sensational move for unsettled Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Sportsmail
understands Lampard would not be averse to a switch to Old Trafford.

With United struggling for numbers in midfield and desperate to make sure Sunday's FA Cup opponents Manchester City do not leave them behind at the top of the Barclays Premier League, manager Ferguson is weighing up an offer for a player he has always admired.

Not really sure what to make of this, DailyMail isn't always the most reliable source but personally this move makes sense from our point of view. Despite he's age he is still one of the most dangerous midfielders in the Premier League and would improve our midfield greatly.

Thoughts?

Lamps?! Didn't see that coming. But as mentioned, he's still dangerous, and a workhorse who never stops trying. Perfect fit

But to be honest, I don't think that move will happen.

To be fair, I don't see project youth being hold at all. In fact I see the complete opposite. The likes of Paul Pogba, Tom Cleverly to name a few would benefit from Franks experience and could learn so much from him so I could see this transfer if it were to happen to help us both on the pitch and behind the scenes.

Utd need a quick creative midfielder (like Chelsea do too) and as Chelsea dont have one and we have Frank Lampard.........You do the rest. ******* stupid stories well **** me off, not getting annoyed with you Stubbs just the story in general lol.

No, no that's fine lol

The problem is, I don't think we need an out and out creative midfielder because of the way we like to play, for example down each wings etc. Like I said already, I think Frank could still do a good job for us in the midfield and the likes of Carrick, Cleverley and Pogba would benefit from having him around.

Oh im sure SAF would find a way to suit him but we still need him lol. He still has 9goals this season which is immense.

Exactly and that's 9 goals from midfield from a guy who hasn't been playing a lot of games and is rumoured not to be on speaking terms with he's manager. Either way, Frank has and still is one of England's best midfielders and would do a fine job if he were to come to us whether some mindless idiots on twitter and other social networks agree.

Also this isnt happening, factor in fee and wages, and there are much better deals out there

News going round that Moyes is all set to make a bid for Darren Gibson-good or bad for Everton? The money about to be offered is reportedly £3 million

Bad. Very bad actually. As in 'please, please no'. Or rather 'if there's a god, please do not allow such madness'.

Ah. Not good then. Thought he was a good little player. Though basing that on hearsay-haven't seen him play a dam good while

If he signs he will go on to be an Everton legend, carying the team through some hard and some good time, winning multiple trophies and so on. (Sounds great) Captain Gibson :D LOL

Rofl. I love moyes, but is he really that desperate?
