On Roy Keane, I beg to differ - by his own admission, he was out to hurt the guy, and although the tackle itself didn't end Haaland's career, it certainly contributed.

That's a quote from Haaland in an interview a couple years ago.

That's probably the only point where I agree with that moron. Keane's tackle was a disgrace and you'd have to be blind or extremely biased to deny it.

He retired because of an injury to his other knee. It was still an absolute disgrace though.

I'm quoting Halland there, and he says it himself - he was unable to play for 90 minutes ever again after that tackle. As I said, it certainly took it's toll.

Do you guys think Fergie will try and get Eriksen from Ajax in the summer? From both legs of the match I saw of him, he seemed impressive movement and passing wise. I think he would definitely be an asset to the team.

The Molde boss' former strike partner of Manchester United believe the possibilities are endless if Solskjaer continues to deliver results in Norway.

- He can become a coach in England, the Netherlands or anywhere. Why not? Ole Gunnar has experience in the football world. As a player at Manchester United and the national team, he experienced the sport everywhere. Therefore, he has what it takes to become a coach in another league, says van Nistelrooy to Romsdals Budstikke.

Happy for Molde's gold
The Dutchman plays for Malaga, which is currently sixth in the Primera Division.

Yesterday he ate lunch with Molde's staff at the Hotel Guadalmina, before he and Ole Gunnar continued the football chat over a coffee at the restaurant's terrace.

For an hour and a half they talked about the old days and new challenges.

- We have not been in touch lately, but of course I have paid attention to what he has done in Molde. I know that Ole won the league in the first attempt, and that it was historic for the club. I was very happy to hear and read about this. It was everywhere in the news, also in Spain, said van Nistelrooy.

Belief in Solskjaer
He believes Solskjaer has the right qualities to become a major international manager.

- As a player he was always good at observing. He always worked hard to learn new things. Ole was independent and made his own plans for his own development. And he was very critical of himself. I am sure that he has the same overview as a manager.

- I know he has the qualities needed to teach others to become great players, says the 35-year-old who played four seasons at Real Madrid after he left United.

Set scoring record
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not spoken to Nistelrooy in two years. This week he got Flaco (former Molde player, now living in Spain) to acquire the Dutchman's mobile number through contacts in the club management at Malaga.

- It was nice that he took the trip to see us. Ruud was a fantastic finisher, and a player I practised a lot with on my own. I remember the first game we played together, it was the end of 2001 in Ruuds first season for United. I think we won 5-0 against Derby, and he scored one and I scored two goals.

- Yes, I remember that goal. A return that came out, answers van Nistelrooy.

- In our best season we set some kind of record. I think we scored 63 goals between us, said Solskjaer.

Close friends
He and Van Nistelrooy were often together in their spare time in England. Their families also acquired close ties.

- I "hung" out a great deal with the Dutchmen at United, both Jordi Cruyff, Jaap Stam and Edwin van der Sar. We became good mates on and off the pitch in Manchester. Noah used to train with a team on a pitch that was one minute away from the house of the Nistelrooy family.

- We always paid them a visit after, and Silje was friends with Ruud's wife. So this was nice, said Solskjaer.

Come on Lads do your old title rivals a favour and beat spurs :)

Its about continuity, he delegates because he is getting on, and becuase it leaves the new manager with lots of guiding help. I think he will be there like Charlton, giving advice if needed. I expect the manager to be Ole in all honesty

Yes he should advice when needed, but team selections, transfer targets should be manager's choice. SAF should just have a word but final decision should be new manager's.

I love it if Ole comes back and wins trophies with us.

I think that is what he will do, be a guiding hand. If we can shake the debt, then we will be in fantastic shape

I think we will shake it off if the Singapore floatation goes according to plan. With FFP in full force by that time we can only get stronger with the revenue we generate.

Think like Barca we may promote our manager from within, like Pep got chance. Ole has done well with reserves and Molde, by the time SAF retires he will be even more experienced. So we may see him in our dug out.

Sparky Hughes is really ******* off Kiko Macheda.
Koko is ****** that Mark Hughes didn't select him in the squad, he's on-loan to play football, and he really hasn't played much.

Frankly, Hughes is an average manager at best and Warnock, much as I dislike him, should never have been sacked.

The Press Association: Hughes to probe Macheda outburst

Man U have amazing self belief and desire to win, they played terribly for most of todays game but managed to win comfortably yet again. Well done Fergie.

Macheda is ****. Like, beyond ****, like, really really really really really ****.

Evans was superb. Didn't put a foot wrong. Poor performance but made the most of our chances. Ashley Young has scored 2 against Spurs and 2 against Arsenal. He had quiet game but came up with goals and assist when needed most. And that corner kick was the best he has taken this season.

Internet is lagging like a ***** on steroids so missed a lot of the game. Saw the goals and some outstanding saves by De Gea (again). The De Gea critics have suddenly become quiet? :)
