We don't need to rebuild, and we most certainly arent going to, a lot of kneejerk reactions here. United have played some good fooball this season. Ive also seen bayern play some turgid stuff as well, same with Bilbao.

Trust me, i'm not one of those knee-jerk reaction fans....but outside of the first few games of the season we really haven't played good football...if something doesn't change i'm seriously worried for when fergie leaves...

Im not. Its not as if he control every little thing, he actually delegates a lot, that's why United will be in such a strong position, the mentality is instilled throughout all the coaching staff and senior players. Whoever comes in will be someone cut from that cloth, ie Moyes, and by then the youngsters will be peaking.
 
Good that it was not an embarrassing scoreline. I'm not disappointed that we are out but I''m for playing like league 2 team.

Hopefully Bilbao wins the cup. Amazing team.

Javi Martinez is quality and I would love for Fergie to sign him, however Martinez is more like a Carrick than a Scholes, we need more of a "creative spark" in the midfield, someone like Eriksen, Martinez seems more the "link up the play" type of player.

We need both, a player like Martinez prevents us from getting overrun through the middle

Yeh no doubt we do, but I think we should look for the creative spark first, for some reason I can not see Fergie going for two different type of midfielders in the summer.

Nope a player like Martinez is the priority. The one thing we don't have is an aggressive ball playing central mid, whereas we do have Cleverley

I agree, Cleverley certainly has an incredibly bright future at Manchester United.

Indeed. If we only sign one mid, i'd want it to be someone like Martinez, preferably him.

Yeah solid DM with ball playing skills is absolute must to be a successful team.

Hate to say this, but we missed out on Vidal who could have covered various roles.

I still do not understand that one, big big miss by SAF, and pretty much every manager out there.

Still can't believe Inter missed him too. Just the player they wanted. Probably SAF banked on Anderson and Cleverley's fitness.

We should try at least one of these players: Martinez, Banega, M'Vila. There are few more who can take us to next level.

Saying that we might see Pogba with first team regularly next season. He did alright today.

Think SAF did gamble on anderson, im not convinced by him. 5 years and he still cant maintain any major consistency. I know he picks up injuries, but then that too is an issue.

Yeah but like you said injuries are the main concerns. He did well whenever he had run of games, then he gets injured. Very frustrating. I for one would love to retain him. He has the talent and he has proved it. Just needs little bit of luck with injuries.

Not to forget he is only 1 year older than Cleverely (Or 18 months).
