Ok simple question, what makes you think that SAF asked Scholes to come back? Scholes said he missed playing so he asked SAF about wanting to come back, Fergie himself said Scholes asked him about coming back.

It was not desperation, it was being sensible.

Even if he tried scouting whole europe you wont find many affordable "Scholes type" player.

I think he really had some fall out with SAF. There is no way he could miss so many match day squads for any other reason. He is not even injured, he is training with first team but not included in match day squad. I for one am really disappointed with the way he is treated after all he was one of the main reason why we won league last year.

Might have had a fallout, would explain why he hasn't even featured on the bench. But Ferguson has other options that fit more to our style.
I'm also abit sad how he is being treated. I do love him and his deft touches and skills making defenders look like fools. But he has never been consistently scoring which is a bad tick against a striker imo.
 
just watching football league show and caught a glimpse of joshua king on loan at hull 1 goal 1 assist and from what i seen looks like could be good tallent, Has anyone seen much of him?

He's a talent! He's had a very bad luck with injuries. He was once above Welbeck in the pecking order if he keeps himself fit then he could be 4th striker!

what other youngsters do ya think will get chance for first team in future from reserves/u18s, have watched quite alot of reserve games this seas petrucci,van velzen,both keane bros,cole ,fryers have all been impressive and pearson,deahls,adnan from u18s also impressed. No dout got some tallent comin through imo.
 
He hardly featured in the second half of the season last year, also he was hardly picked for big games, another reason why Fergie has given up on him, is his performance in the fa cup semi final against City...it was shocking

Will Keane is a certainty for me! Don't know why I just feel the same way about him as I did with Cleverley!Mats Daehli is one I would keep my eye on! Everybody you mentioned is talented but for me it's all down to attitude if these guys learn from the situation with welbeck and cleverley then they all have a bright future!

Have we signed young lad called andreas perrea or somthing like that suppose to be one of brightest tallents in world football?

Yeah, but apparently there was an issue with someone ******** up his registration - so he can only play for us next season, U18 or not.

yeah think he is only 16/17 yrs old but barca and madrid tried to sign him same time as us aswell as few other clubs, just watching some vids on youtube of him looks quality!

Aye, turned 16 in January. Looks class from what I've seen.

Then again, I could make a youtube vid of myself and look like I was as good as Iker Casillas - I'll keep quiet until I see/hear about him playing.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm excited for the prospect of seeing him, Daelhi, Januzaj and Barmby in the U18's midfield next year.
 
We look vulnerable when we get pressed all over the pitch, even when our defence can't pass under pressure. Reminds me a bit like Athletic Bilbao pressing style by Wigan, Fergie is concerned by it as well, been in the technical area for most of the half. This is why we struggled so much in Europe, not many teams press us all over the pitch including defence. This is the real test for Evans, he has been poor so far.

When we are pressed all over from back to front it just proves even more our midfield needs strengthening, the central midfield.
 
I think the ref was right to rule out their goal. I expect much better in the second half, and I don't want to see Giggsy giving the ball away with his stupid flicks.
 
Love how Dowd is getting abused for the assistant's decision.
