The Manchester United Thread

He and his agent know exactly what they are doing. He'll need to deliver quick at United, because the players wont tolerate a big time charlie not producing, and neither will SAF. Assuming he goes there.

He'd need to deliver quick at City and Chelsea as well. Spending £35million+ on a failure won't look good for City, especially when they spent £25million on Nasri who has been performing well the last couple of games. And Chelsea would be ridiculed if they spent £35million on another non-performer like Torres had been.

Have you seen him? HUGE talent to be honest, he should be able to deliver, there will be a lot of pressure but I think the leagues are kind of similar, BPL much more competitive obviously but Cabaye/Ben Arfa settled in really quick, no reason why he shouldn't be able to. Ronaldo was kind of a bit cocky and arrogant as well when he joined us, I think Fergie makes the exception but will sort him out if he does join us, no way Fergie will allow him to have this attitude what keeps coming out in the French media.

Ive seen a lot of him. But he will still need to deliver. Ben Arfa didnt settle quickly, though Cabaye certainly did. Ronaldo was a lot more raw when he arrived. And didnt spend 6 months bigging himself up.

Ben Arfa was really good when he came into the Newcastle team, before he had the injury :O

I know Hazard is portraying himself badly, but I think Fergie may make the exception due to the talent he obviously has. Not only that I am sure Fergie could sort his attitude out quickly.

I know Ronaldo never bigged himself up, but his attitude was certainly questionable.

He's not worth the fuss. We should look at Baines, isn't that right Ajt?
Ps Lucas Ocampos is a good shout. Still young, but reminds me off Ronaldo and Obertan.

But you are comparing raw talent in ronaldo, to a first teamer in Hazard. He wont get the luxury of time. Certainly not while he is running his mouth.

Don't really care if players are arrogant or not if they back it up on the pitch. Arrogance is only a problem when you don't back what you say you can do, a-la Bendtner.

Mike what do you think of Kwadwo Asamoah? We have been linked with him lately, be a great signing imo, a ball-winning mid who has absolutely bossed Udinese midfield.

hey. leave him out of this. he cost 60k.

According to Miguel Delaney, Ferguson is looking to bring in 2 attacking midfielders, a forward and a full back. Kagawa and Baines are serious possibilities at this moment, bid for Hazard made, 15 million bid for Lewandowski rejected and the da Silva twins are under threat for not progressing enough. Also, a bid for Lucas Moura in the future could be possible. Modric also on the radar but very unlikely.

I think he is only half right. Right on the attacking mids and the full back. Not on a striker, since Keane and Petrucci are to be promoted. Fabio is under threat, hence the loan, but Rafael is set to stay, already rejected Chelsea's approach. Rafael has come an incredibly long way. Modric is also more likely than Moura, given that he will now again agitate for a move.

The problem with Rafael is he is more like a Wing Back than a Full Back, can adapt hopefully though.

That will come as he gets older, look at similar full backs, Walker, Richards, all have issues with positioning, all better going forwards.

Rafael is awesome, k.

Surprised City aren't looking at him, Tevez would think twice about refusing to play with him nearby. :)

And why do we need two AM's?

God knows, all rumours though, I am not convinced Hazard is United-bound. But I know Kagawa is interested and so is Fergie for that matter. I would like us to pursue our interest in Asamoah from Udinese as well, would be a great signing for us, exact type of midfielder we have been lacking.

I reckon Bebe will be sold, and Macheda will probably be loaned out somewhere to help give him more first-team experience. Can't see either of them being involved in the first-team for United next season. No need for Bebe with Young, Nani, Valencia being able to play down the wings, and we already have Welbeck, Rooney and Chicharito so where would Macheda fit. Plus with the signings of Hazard/Kagawa being rumoured, I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of the 'fringe players' being sold.
