The Manchester United Thread

When did Drogba 'raped' our defence? If anyone 'raped' it, it was Joe Cole. And Lukaku didn't rape anyone, Lindegaard politely ask Romelu to penetrate into his but as hard as he can.

Exactly. His first league goal against us was in 2009-10 season when he scored the offside goal. His goal scoring record against us is not very good. Always was Vida's ***** (and then he kicked Vida's jaw).

Interesting from Fellaini:

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has hinted that he would like to follow David Moyes to Manchester United.
The Belgian international has long been linked with a move away from Goodison Park, and after a deal in January failed to materialise, he again looks set for a summer of speculation about his future.
Chelsea and Arsenal had been linked, but now he has one eye on Old Trafford due to the fact Moyes is taking charge.
"If I'm leaving Everton, I say if, it will depend on lots of factors," Fellaini told the Sunday Mirror.
"I only want to go to a club where the manager really wants me.
"In 2008, Everton did everything to convince me, especially David Moyes. He made me the player I am now."
Fellaini also revealed that Moyes had told him that he wanted him to become a deep-lying midfielder - rather than the forward he has emerged as in recent years.
"I'm happy with my season, although I didn't play in my best position," said Fellaini.
"I'm not a number 10. David Moyes predicts my future as a defensive midfielder, but due to a lack of offensive power, he plays me up front.
"In the future I want to play as a six or an eight. From there, I can create danger and score goals."

He wants to play in Cleverley's position

His first league goal yeah but not his first goal, we all remember when that was lol. He had a massive hand in some goals too, the Ballack header at the bridge one year. I just hope this isn't the last time your lot get Lukakued.

Yeah, IIRC he scored in the FA cup finals.

Today Lukaku played well but it was down to our poor performance. His first goal could have been saved by any half decent keeper, his second was very well taken and his third was comedy gold. Deserves credit for being at the right place and having a go but I wouldn't read much into it. We sort of just switched off when Scholes came on.

The one game I miss is a ****** 5-5?! >.< Anyone know where I can download the match?

United U21 won the championship beating Spurs 3-2 in the finals.

First half Spurs were 2-0 up and then United in the second half made it 3-2.

"Yatha Guru thatha Shishya" :D

Was a cracking game spurs completely dominated in the 1st half but second half we was a different class. Some really good performances from januzaj, cole, tunnicliffe, lindgard and lawrence changed the game when he came on gave much needed support to januzaj playing as a lone STR. Great to be the 1st team to win the premier u21 trophy which was a sweet trophy.

See j rod and moutinho agreed to join monaco in double swoop for between 59-70m:( thought could have seen one of these at united next season, oh well.

Rio ferdinand just signed 1 yr contract at old trafford:) Glad thats sorted now onto the transfer targets, what do people think about this thiago news going round buyout clause 18m euros?

First reported by Marca which is anti Barcelona paper so I wouldn't buy into it that much.

Tep thats what i thought, but xavi did an interview and was talking about the prospect of him leaving saying yhe was in the same sitution when he was younger at barca. And its in nearly all papers and twitter/itk and forums.

Yeah it's bit overcrowded in his position and there's also likes of Sergi Roberto breaking through. I also think Tito likes Thiago more than Cesc and if someone is going it will likely be Cesc. Or maybe I'm just hoping :D

Agree bit weird he seems to play cesc more tho would be happy with either tbh, would be good if news about clause was infact true

I think he was bit underpressure to make Cesc work for the club and not be yet another failed transfer for the club. Also this is just a rumour, but there was some talk that Tito while assistant to Pep tried to talk him out of signing Cesc as he didn't think he'd succeed there.

But yeah if RC is true 18m would be great value.

A big chunk of our debt is being refinanced to more than half the interest rate it was at. Saves ~£10m a year.
