Dont be stupid, I do watch Spanish football. Thats why I know he isn't as good as Baines. There is a reason Marcelo is preferred and Madrid want to sell Coentrao. Because he isn't that good at the top level, his concentration is there.

Baines is not only better defensively, Baines is also the most creative attacking full back in Europe, creating more chances from open play than any other. Nothing to do with Englishness, everything to do with performance.

I say £15m, because I would quite happily not buy him over than and see us continue with Evra for another with Fabio coming through. We would only need Baines if we sold Evra.

Chasing Fabregas doesnt stop us chasing another player.

Yes we will play them twice, at no point should we be worried about them, we are still a better than Swansea etc etc, and all things being equal we should be beating them without reinforcements, no excuse. Really not hard to understand that.

Any debate is pointless if you are arguing from a purely emotional level, hence get a grip.

1. Rate Baines. I agreed with you from the start. I was just saying we should not be one-track minded.

2. If you think that Marcelo is better than COENTRAO then I cant argue any more. Opinions and aholes and all.

3. I take your point about the 15m. Not sure about FABIO tho as he appears to be made of glass.

1)We're been amazing so far. The likes of Kagawa and Cleverley really influenced the game. So, what kind of excuse do we have now? They played 24h ago with pretty much same team, and they still dominate the game.

2)Don't be idiot. Stop calling City and Chelsea like that. It's disrespectful. I bet you hate when someone calls your time something like that.

There can surely be very little debate about that. Marcelo's always chosen ahead of him, fitness permitting, for a reason.

Eh, at what point did i say we were in better position? Dont make assumptions on things I havent said. Ridiculous thing to say because I never even alluded to that.

Marcelo is picked over Coentrao almost every time, there is no debate on that point he was always favoured by Jose. It's not a suprise that Ancellotti isn't fighting to keep him.

Also we are better than Swansea, replacements or no.

Who says it has stopped us chasing others. In fact the one thing we do know is that Moyes said we were following mutiple players, and that he hoped to add 2 names to midfield, 3 in all.

Anderson and Cleverley dont have the positioning, watch the gap between defence and midfield, could drive a truck through there.

Yes. We knew that few years ago. They probably will never have brain for def positioning. If would be great if that was the only problem. We're playing bad whole pre season ( bar two games against semi pro footballers, and even then they managed to create chances). Fabregas won't come, Modric as well. Marchisio is true Juve fan, and probably will never leave the club. Who else could improve our defensive positioning as well as creating chances from central positions? I hope Kagawa kicks off, but I'm afraid he doesn't fit United. Since our wingers were in bad form last year ( bad from, injuries), we have almost zero creativity in midfield. It's bad, really bad.
 
Poor half from the midfield .Wingbacks keep moving in good positions than that poor cross.Henriqez is on holiday still .Cleverely and ando cannot play together both hate defending.Kagawa looks flat today poor passing and missed a simple header. How imp carrick is for the team was highlighted in that half.They could have scored 2 more thats how bad we have been.
 
Every game addresses the midfield crisis we have.... how long will it take to get a ****** midfielder in. Literally there is tons that could improve our midfield without even going into the class of Fabregas bracket......
 
On a more positive note - I'm impressed with Januzaj and his game today. Watched him the other preseason games and I think he plays really well (for his age). Hope Moyes helps him develop.

Not tonnes. There is no point spending for the sake of spending. We dont need "squad players" we need two players that are a serious cut about what we have, domestic and continentally.

Yeh but what happens if we leave it and leave it until suddenly we don't get anyone. Not to forget the season starts next week... we have very tricky start to the league... with this midfield it looks a tall order.

No...... waiting till January is absolutely stupid. I know for a fact United could get a midfielder before the end of this window despite shooting ourselves in the foot by not going for either Thiago or Strootman. With the budget Cabaye/De Rossi/Fellaini...... one of them is much needed. That's just off the top of my head. Oh and Luiz Gustavo.

We are going for Fellaini IIRC. Dont need Gustavo as well. I'd personally go with Gustavo and Cabaye. But PSG are into the latter, so that could get expensive.
