The Manchester United Thread

I think Tezzz was probably mocking United & Carrick because he was withdrawn from England squad for the Scotland friendly. I guess an eye infection does seem suspicious. In my turn I was mocking Liverpool with Suarez's six games suspension and the whole biting incident.

It would have made more sense if it wasn't Englands medical team who withdrew Carrick.

In the meantime of indefinitely waiting for a new midfielder or two to arrive, this fan has taken the initiative to #BRINGRONALDOHOME.

Hm.

No #7 and #9 for us. Thought Welbeck will be getting #9.

Why would you give the number 9 to a striker that doesn't score goals? oO)

We don't have anyone to take that number, Hernandez wears #14 for club and country and RVP wants to stay as #20.

Then why should you just give the 9 to another player who isn't really a number 9..

Anyway, all the fans buying Welbeck shirts would be well ****** off. :D

As of now he isn't a #9 because he can't get a game as #9 ahead of Rooney and RVP. He played almost all games as winger last season. Before that he scored 12 goals in 27 starts which was a decent return for a young player.

7 will be given to Ronaldo if he comes back and number 9 to Fellaini if we get both of them :)

He will never be a 9.

Bit of a stupid question considering our midfield options are Carrick/Cleverley/Anderson. Of course he will ****** start! Unless he picks up an injury then we're truely f*cked.

He's been doubtful all week, that's why I'm asking.

I wasn't mocking anyone. It was a genuine question cos he's in my fantasy team. You can't say anything to a manc without them taking offence.

Apparently we're one of the teams (I imagine there is many) going for Willian. However it would be amazing if we did get him, very versatile, would offer a lot to us and he has that magic spark in him.

Sorry dude, I just got confused with the "Wah wah wah" thing. Even if you were mocking United I don't take it too seriously and I was doing the same for fun instead of hatred. Hope Carrick brings you lots of points ;)

Why on earth would you pick Carrick for Fantasy League?

Off the top of my head:

Cheap player
Reliably plays 90 mins
Rarely subbed off
Good injury record
Good pass completion rate (bonuses this year)
Good chance of clean sheet bonuses being as he plays for Utd who have most of their first choice defence playing

There are better options of course, but I can see why you'd take him.

United line-up been named yet?

De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Cleverley, Carrick, Valencia, Giggs, Welbeck, van Persie. Subs: Anderson, Rooney, Smalling, Lindegaard, Fabio Da Silva, Kagawa, Zaha.
