The Manchester United Thread

For God's sake, it was a joke - hence the wink face. I've tipped United to come 2nd/3rd since the start of the season (maybe even 1st, although I think Chelsea will get 1st), and I honestly still think they'll be able to attain said positions.

He's just a little salty.

Shame about Carrick being out, not what United needed at all.

Fair enough.

Not bad result considering we were playing centreback in midfield and in RB position, 40 yo winger as deep playmaker and out of form wingers with fat Rooney and overrated Kagawa.

Was easily best performance by far this season. No one had a bad game Kagawa,Giggs and Rooney were on fire the interchange and link up play was somethinng to be hold.

Jones and Smalling are both more than capable in midfield and right-back respectively, although arguably it's not their favoured positions. Giggs has shown time and time again that he's capable of playing as a creative central-midfielder, so it's no real surprise to see him there while Carrick's out. I'm not sure if this is tongue-in-cheek or not, but Rooney's definitely not fat and Kagawa is hardly overrated, so I'm not sure why you're being so negative throughout your post. It was a great result achieved by a clever lineup from Moyes.

Can I buy premium membership so I can put 'If in doubt, it's probably sarcasm' in my title?

For how long will Cleverley remain a United player... honestly, midfield is truely rubbish. Better be fixed in January, without Carrick it looks even more average.

Danny Welbeck on the wing? WTF

How long do you think it may be before Powell is ready to get his chance in the utd side? Seems like he is having a great loan spell at Wigan.

Interesting question, but he needs to have the whole season at least on loan IMO, I don't think he's still quite ready.

Im thinking if he keeps up his good form throughout the season at Wigan maybe next season he is then loaned out to a mid table/bottom half premier league side? Has done other players the world of good in the past such as wilshere and Sturridge and of course there is lukaku who is currently destroying defenders week in week out at Everton and when he was at west brom last season.

I like the look of the Kagawa-Rooney-Valencia combination, but apart from that, their side looks very one-dimensional and lost. They haven't really been able to counter-attack as effectively as they can, nor have they managed to create many clear-cut chances. Having said that, though, they've managed to keep possession quite well, albeit keeping it in positions which aren't dangerous to the opposition.

Was dogshite today Cleverly,Welbeck did absolutly nothing all game. And why did Moyes leave it till there was 7mins left on the clock to change the last 2 subs and still bring on the wrong players.

Cleverley and Welbeck >>>> Kagawa against Spurs.

No way! Welbeck did absolutely nothing, Cleverley only managed to pass sideways; Kagawa had a fairly quiet game, but he did link up with Rooney and Valencia quite nicely - which was a **** of a lot more than Cleverley and Welbeck did!

Linked well? Cleverley did lot more than that, he recovered possession. At least Welbeck won the penalty that was scored, can you please tell me one clear cut chance or anything of note that Kagawa did whole game? Absolute **** all. For some reason he gets free ride with ManUtd fans saying he shouldn't be playing as left winger but Welbeck plays every game out of position, works incredibly hard and at least does something but still gets **** from fans.

Btw Kagawa played in his favorite position but did nothing against Spurs. Welbeck and Cleverley were miles better than him. Only Evra was worse than Kagawa in the Spurs game.

Cleverly was usless lost count the amount of time he had yards infront of him to exploit but he just passed sideways and backwards, also very poor for there 2nd goal Sandro had him in his pocket. Kagawa was playing well when was linking up with Rooney till Moyes chucked him out on the left then he dissapeard.
