The Manchester United Thread

They are far worse, because any "big club" gets its share of glory supporters. Barca has ******* loads of them, and curiously when polled this year the amount of self reporting 'fans' dropped quite severely. A lot of the whiny bastards who have never known anything but SAF's dominance will be surprised as to how it is when you have to compete with other clubs and come back from behind instead of setting the pace.. especially with so many top, top players coming to the end of their careers such as Scholes, Giggs, RVP, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, etc.

I'll judge Moyes when he has an actual midfield. How do you expect us to play exciting football without it?

Tactically we haven't changed that much. Last year, anyone -> Carrick -> Wingers -> RVP -> Pray he wins us the game. This year, anyone -> Carrick - Wingers -> Rooney/RVP -> Pray they win us the game.
When Carrick is injured pass to opposition -> lose.

Ferguson still won the EPL with this band of midfielderess wonders... Honestly the only difference between United is Moyes. I am not saying they should be top of the table but he should obviously be doing much better than he is now. In 46 attempts, he failed to win at OT with Everton and Martinez managed it in one, epitomizes his reign so far

Oh and the fact that Moyes doesn't have a midfield is largely his fault as well... He had all summer to buy the players he needed and he wasn't exactly strapped for cash eithe

So we've deduced that Moyes isn't Ferguson level? I don't think we needed to wait for December to figure that out.

Mmmmyeah its not like last year United had much of a style under Fergie. Pass to Robin, hope for the best. Thats about it.

Difference being, it actually worked.

All the challengers blowing obscene amount of money on transfers doesn't help either.

It's almost like you havent been paying attention to United's dealing all season...

He obviously isn't ... Basically what I am trying to say is that just last season this very squad were champions and it's a good squad nonetheless, Moyes should be doing much much better

Oh I know Ed Woodward largely screwed up on his part as well by chasing after targets such as Fabregas and whatnot but it's unfair to say Moyes isn't to blame too

Ever thought the players actually might need to do better. Can count on one hand the number of players playing anywhere near their level.

Let's be clear, Woodward dropped the ball entirely, and Moyes is carrying the can on the dealings

So what to look forward to this season? We play horrendous football, concedes last minute goals, hovering around the mid table, terrible signings etc. Moyes better straighten himself up because I doubt a club of Man Utd's stature would be absolutely fine if we finish 8th this season, which is something we are poised to at the rate we're going. The winter transfer window will be vital for him. I'm willing to give him time, but he has to give me something that I can look forward to too. We were the champions last season but people seems to be absolutely fine even when we are 9th now, 12 points off the leader and 12 points above the relegation zone.

No it doesnt, it lands on the players too. This isn't Chelsea, the players dont escape that easily.

Yea I forgot, Man Utd and their fanbase is above and beyond every club in the world ... Apologies

Manager should take the blame too. We don't have a proper tactics at all. Pass the all to Valencia and hope he smash one past full back into the box and that's it.

Again Manager should be blamed for this. How can a manager not play a good football with Rooney, RVP, Kagawa, Nani in the team?

Everton have ******* Barry in the midfield but still plays good football and that's because Martinez knows what he is doing. Barry, Mccarthy are not better than Carrick, Fellaini, Anderson. No way they have better player than ManUtd in any position except LB but still they play nice attacking football because of Manager.
