Well yes, considering what he is expected to do, I don't see why Fellaini would need more time to start performing?

He is there to add some grit and sometimes some elbows to the midfield. He is playing in the same league and for the same manager as the last year. Can you think of easier situation to adapt to? This should be smooth sailing for him.

"We could've done worse" is not a good situation for a United player to be in. United are a huge club, they need great players. Fellaini has so far been anything but.

This is a very na?ve view, to be honest. He is in the same league with the same manager, but he's in a team which is supposedly 'in crisis', with a lot of pressure from fans, and he's playing for a completely different calibre of team, with completely different players and a different playing style. He needs more time to start performing because he's not yet settled at United, much like the likes of De Gea didn't in their first season (albeit, De Gea's signing was in different circumstances). Just because it's the same league, or with the same manager, doesn't necessarily mean it'll be an easy transition.

So far. Did the likes of Lucas and Zamora straight away? No. I agree that he should be doing better, but patience is needed since he's only been there for half a season!

Wait, Zamora? Bobby Zamora? Bobby "When you're stuck in row Z and the ball hits your head that's" Zamora? I'm not entirely sure I'd use him as an example of a quality player. :P

Problem is with Fellaini, I'd definitely agree with your if his fee was lower. But when you drop 27 million on a player - a player in the same league and with the same manager as last season no less, as Tyton pointed out - he should be expected to produce straight away. It's unfair on Fellaini, yes, but it's also the truth.

No, Wilfried Zamora, the 19 year old Brighton striker ;) Zamora isn't a top player, but once he settled in at Fulham, he was far from terrible and if I remember correctly, had a season or two where he was one of the best English strikers in the league (not that that's saying much, though).
 
Can a United fan please enlighten me as to what you guys are singing? It's the same tune as the Wayne Rooney/White Pele chant, but sounds like you're saying "What the **** is vindaloo" :S
 
How we are not 3-4 goals down is beyond me. Shakhtar is teaching us at Old Trafford.

The same applies to every transfer move in history of human race, so as far as excuses go, it's not very effective.

I stand by what I said: he has it as easy at transfer move can get. He should have adapted within few months, tops.
 
This may have already been said but I haven't been on this for a while, but I don't think that it's fair to put all this "crisis" talk on Moyes because we have the same exact first team squad as last season aside from Fellaini (and I suppose Januzaj) that won the prem by 11 points, so it is time for the squad to shoulder at least some of the blame. It's like we have one or two methods of attack boot it to Valencia and hope he puts in a decent cross or give it to Roo and hope he uses some of his magic.

Yeah, these points have been made already mate. Although I agree with your opinion, your reasoning for it seems odd. Sure if the first team squad was the same (or even improved, because of the addition of Fellaini and Adnan), then surely it's more Moyes fault than if the squad was completely different - because this is a squad of proven winners? It's true that the team really need to have a long hard look at themselves, though, they've been very disappointing and look a shadow of the team that ran away with the league last season.
