The Manchester United Thread

Should be pretty obvious why LVG vetoed the Kroos deal and went for Herrera now too. So much more energy and aggression, even if Kroos has slightly more raw talent.

Slightly more raw talent?

It's scary when you think United still have Falcao to come off the bench to add to this amazing attack. This united squad will be title contenders this season, make no mistake of it

Cant see it personally - remember this is QPR before people get ahead of themselves . Very good performance and show's a lot of promise but they have yet to face a top 7/8 side yet

City and Chelsea still far stronger in my opinion

Whens the last time United midfielder had 7 tackles? Guess who had 7 tackles today.

Chelsea have been immense and I don't expect a title challenge this season, top 4 is what most realistic fans want.

However apart from Chelsea, no other team has impressed me, City included, think they've looked quite poor. Whenever Yaya Toure doesn't play, they seem beatable.

Tbh the quality is there and LVG has always been a slow starter before picking up steam in the second half of the season. Also you have to remember that United don't have to worry about CL or League Cup. They have more than enough depth for two competitions

Chelsea and City have stronger squads but the fixtures advantage that United have narrows the gap somewhat. I expect them to pose a threat for sure

I agree apart from Chelsea most sides have not particularly impressed so the chance is there for United.. I still have huge doubts over United's defence though and against the better sides in the division it may be the difference

However, they have looked impressive today no matter who the opposition are

City and Chelsea's squads are on par imo. Very tough to separate them. Looking forward to the game on Saturday!

Their attack is more than good enough to cover their defensive flaws. It's basically how they won their last title under Fergie. RVP was brilliant that season

Van Persie has been quite poor. Hoping Falcao-Rooney will start next game.
