The Manchester United Thread

Dude, what on earth is the matter with you? Read and understand context. The Messi part was only and only related to your over-exaggerated comment of a '12 year old girl', and nothing else. It wasn't a comparision to Messi or Januzaj's game or goal scoring abilities :\

And incase you're speaking down of a weakish player who gets taken down a bit too easily, we had one of those earlier too. His name is Ronaldo. And he improved. Just because he's on the bench, doesn't mean he'll automatically become bad.

Although, that being said, it'd be nice to see Januzaj being given more time.

Ignore him. He's not worth it.

What a header by McNair, have to wait and see how he develops but it is fair to say he has potential after seeing him the first time properly today

Most improved player at youth age over the last 12-13 months!

Good to see ManUtd selling their soul.

McNair, Thorpe, Rafael, Fletcher played the game and Januzaj was on the bench.

Really delighted for McNair. Heard he had a good game. He's from my town and my facebook and twitter feed is filled with his name haha

Tbf though, McNair and Thorpe were really due to the crazy injury crisis you are suffering currently although you would still have Evans as academy produced in that case

If we defend as a team like we did today, we will win a lot more than we will lose. Oh and keep 11 players on :P

Yeah, this thread became last years Chelsea thread. Its seems that threads become violent mess each time I decide to follow a club for a year. Must be a coincidence.

We could have bought a couple of cheap, foreign mediocre CBs who would have blocked them, though.

Still, you are only playing Thorpe and McNair because of a crazy injury crisis. Tomorrow if Chelsea are forced to play Chalobah and Ake at the heart of the defense because everyone else is injured, it doesn't suddenly mean that they are now giving youth a chance

Not that I am criticizing united in any way. Their squad still has an impressive number of academy products for a big team. I just don't think it's fair to count McNair and Thorpe within that category that's all

Well, United got only one CD because Blackett took his chance. I think that counts as giving a chance to a youngster. About Thorpe and McNair, I agree, they only got the chance because everyone else was injured. We'll see in January if United will bring CD or will Thorpe and McNair will become backups.
