No way would want Tiote and Santon now, would of taken them last summer when we were utterly desperate.

After signing several quality players recently we'd really ruin it by signing the mediocre ones again like them. So NO.

Just get a CB in January and I'm fine with that. (Providing we don't get any big injuries, particularly in midfield).

I struggle to see who we will sign in jan tbh. Most good/top players will still be in CL and clubs wont want to sell. Also like you said don't want to sign ok/mediocre players for the sake of it, would rather promote!

Yeh, promoting is much better than signing medicority IMO.

We just want quality, we got ourselves in this mess from all the mediocrity we signed while quality continued to leave.
 
Wouldn't mind giving McNair a chance as he deserves it after that last performance in next game or two, see how he does again.

Think Jones will be fit so can see him and Rojo starting McNair on the bench. Happy to have Jones back tbh! Think Rojo has great potential to develop might just take a season like Vidic, but has all the attributes. Yes should only sign quality. I really think we should go all out for Hummels,Reus,Strootman and Christoph Kramer who will replace Schweiny as Germanys main CM when he retires. Leverkusen will charge a bit but what a player and had good WC!

Not that fussed now about Strootman, tbh, and he'll be terribly expensive. If Kramer continues to play well, just get Kramer, we also already have Blind. Hummels, Reus and Kramer, while RvP leaves, I guess? Also, sell Young (for a loss, but still);;

I said the 2 mate due to us being back in Europe. Also get rid of Lindergaard,Amos,Verjmil,Thorpe,Carrick,Fellaini,Cleverley,Nani,Zaha,Valencia,Anderson,W.Keane. Would keep RVP for 1 more season as well as Fletcher.

Keep Fellaini (depending on how he performs this season, if at all) and maybe Carrick as well. Could probably give another chance to Zaha too.. Strootman will be horribly expensive, same as Hummels. And I'd rather we get Hummels than Strootman, and defence is more necessary than midfield atm. Sell RvP, if we're getting Falcao permanently, since Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested (this will probably be the last time we can get a good amount for him, if we're indeed selling him eventually). We'll have Rooney and Falcao left as main strikers, with Wilson backup. Maybe buy another younger, cheaper striker with good potential.. Oh, and I'd rather not write off Thorpe just yet..

Btw, Are the Hernandez and Henriquez loan deals an option to buy, or definite buy clause?

Not keen on keeping Fellaini and think LVG wants rid would have gone if not for injury, plus get his wages off the books. Not sure about Carrick cant see him getting another contract tbh. Zaha just don't think he has it in himself to develop to his full potential in my mind lacks the right mentality and attitude. Think Strootman will be our 1st signing in Jan or the summer don't think he would be outrageously expensive, maybe 30-40m which is good plus would bring in much needed quality and experience. Would keep RVP for 1 more season, then offer him coaching role. And if rumours are true Falcao is already done deal so that would still leave us withn 4 quality STRs. Could also see Carrick maybe offered a coaching role as LVG really rates his attitude,mentality and footballing brain. Plus we have Henriquez as another young prospect. Would maybe get Thorpe a good loan somewhere where he is going to play unlike Powell and Keane. Don't think Hernandez or Henriquez have deffinate buy clause, just the optin to buy.
 
Herrera is out with fractured rib. There goes our chances of 3 points against Everton.

Before Zzezzy starts his rant, no we couldn't have signed one more CM as we have signed 2 already.

Not without selling Fellaini, which we couldnt because he got injured himself.
