The Manchester United Thread

About 3 weeks rumour going round. I actually had this about 2 yrs ago and was playing after 2 was little painfull but not major, so i would say between 3-4 for him.

****, oh well I suppose we can't rely on him only this season. Time for Fletcher and more importantly, Carrick after international break, to step up.

I know it is very early days, very early, but does anyone else think there is a chance of Herrera becoming a legend at United one day down the line? He is young, scores goals, makes strong/good tackles, high work rate and clever feet + shows a real passion for football and from what I have seen from him off the pitch and on a passion for the club. I for one really like him and I know its only been a few games but I am talking about potential.

Potentially yes but will have to perform on a regular bases and stay nearly the rest of his career and win things. Great player!

Herrera has been brilliant for us till now. But the thing is, for a central midfielder to become a legend for us is a bit difficult, considering he'll be compared to the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Robson, Keane and the like.. =P But if he continues his rich vein of form for us, and is here for a while, don't see why not..

A real shame this injury, but now's not the time to feel sorry for myself. I'm already working to be back as soon as possible!
Tweet from Herrera. Gotta love his attitude! :)

"We couldn't sign another CM"

Yet we bought players like Di Maria and Falcao... ok ok ok, that makes perfect sense.

Di Maria is a CM who can play all over the place, ergo a player we need.

I'm not saying we didn't, well tbf Falcao wasn't really needed.

But the financial muscle we have it's a bit lame to say ohhhh "we couldn't sign another cm" because we didn't get rid of Fellaini. What about releasing Anderson rather than letting him take the place of someone on the bench?

Because having financial muscle doesn't mean throwing money away. They are still trying to flog anderson. We would have to PAY to release anderson. That is stupid.

Pay to release him or pay for him not to play, doesn't it amount to the same thing?

We'd lose the chance to at least get some money for him in January, and lose a potential backup if injuries really get that bad.

It'd be nothing short of a miracle if we actually make some money on Anderson >_> But yeah, caught between heaven and high water here anyhow.. >.<

For the record, that's a huge loss to our team, Herrera has started this season brilliantly IMO and replacing him with Fletcher will be a big down-slide.

Fletcher is not that bad. He s always been a big match player. And with our confidence etc being so frail Everton IS a big match. Ok we ll lose a bit of creativity from the middle but playing ADM more centrally will deal with that.

Actually Fletcher in his prime was, I agree. But he's nowhere near the player he was at his prime any more.

Least Everton are shipping goals. The only one im really worried about is Lukaku, will be great to see him up against Rojo! Think we will win 3-1.

Those signings make perfect sense for anyone who can think logically.

No you brought up Fellaini implying that we had some obligation or financial incapability of not being able to bring another CM in until he was gone.

I'm not criticising either of them signings.

No. I didn't say anything about Fellaini except hoping he would get a chance.

Ok your exact words were we couldn't sign another CM as we have signed 2 already.. I just don't get your point with that.

Yes we got 2 in but it's an area which has been deprived for years so bringing an extra one in wouldn't of been something beyond the realms of good-thinking, especially if we don't want to see the likes of Fletcher/Fellaini playing an important role of our top 4 hopes, quite frankly I don't.

Technically we signed 3 CMs. We were not going to sign a 4th because we know who he wants for that position. He also wasnt looking for us to constantly have 9/10 players out a week.
