Pool's done terrible business. Sold the guy responsible for their entire offensive output and bought bunch of mediocre wannabies. Lambert was a good transfer since he was just meant to be a backup , but I don't get the point of Balo. The team was build around pace and counter , and they buy a guy who wouldn't bother running if his *** was on fire. I don't even.

Balo very rarely has one of those days. Even is team mates were lambasting him today!

Regardless, if Sturridge remains fit as he was for most of last season then he is absolute quality. Balotelli has been poor but I think he will improve a lot once Sturridge comes back. He just can't lead the line on his own. Lovren was very good at Southamptoon, give him some time. I agree, their business wasn't the best but saying things like how they won't even finish 7th when the season is just 8 games old is going too far imo. Any team will struggle if their best player is injured
 
Guys, this is United, not Liverpool thread. Some of us don't want to come here and read stuff about Liverpool.

Maybe it is i agree after 8 games. But Lovren was pretty poor at Lyon and still made errors last season to. Everyone advised Rodgers not to sign Balo but he took the gamble, should of gambled on Remy imo. Sturridge best stay fit for the rest of the season or that will be that, but he still out for 4 weeks. Maybe will be good to get knocked out of CL early, coz I don't there squad strong enough atm. Out all my pool mates they all said they would have only signed Lallana and Origi.

I didnt necessarily mean they ll finish 6/7th. I was thinking more that they may even finish 5th but a lot of points off 4th.
 
Late to the party but for our defensive problem I would gladly sign either Vlaar or Shawcross for a short fix. They are good CBs who can stay fit something our CBs can't.

Also belated happy Januzaj day. Signed 5 year deal on 19th of Oct last year. How do I remember? Because I got married on the very same day.

That's it though Vlaar actually cant. We don't need short term fix now everyone back fit.

Unless Evans and Jones can solve their tendency to pick up injuries, we do need a fix in the summer, though. Defensive crisis like what has happened now will definitely dissolve our season, especially if we're in the CL. Hence the need for a CB purchase.

I get the defending as a unit thing and the like, but you need a stable CB partnership to do that, and atm, we just don't/won't have it..

I agree mate defo need a top CB in the Summer. But don't think we should just buy someone in Jan for no reason.

But was it really? He went to Juve who at the time had a (much) better midfield than us and became a first teamer pretty much from the get go ...
