Admitting you made a mistake is no cause to feel embarrassment. Only a person with an ego problem would say this kind of thing. Pogba is amazing. Hummels is a World Cup winner, two times Bundesliga winner, CL finalist and so on. Both are quality, and whoever gets them, can count themselves lucky.

Like sunilvk7 said, Matic is a fine example. Do I or any other Chelsea fans feel embarrassed that he was bought back? Before answering that question I have to ask: Are you serious?

Letting go implies that he was deemed not good enough for first team and was told to leave for another team and that is what happened with Matic, but if I remember correct Utd tried until the end to get him to sign a new deal?

Still no embarrassment eventhough Pogba at the time when he left was much more hyped up player than Matic ever was and no question that if opportunity arises to get him back they will do it.

Yeah he was offered contract but he left on free transfer. Nothing we could have done to stop him.
 
The thing is with Pogba and Matic is that if they stayed it's more than likely that they wouldn't of got the game time they got at Juve/ Benfica, which would've stalled their development, so they potentially wouldn't of turned into the players they are now, after all the best thing to aid a players development is game time.

Not basing that on why he did not play yesterday. Just the fact he is injury prone, inconsistent and LVG has said he is hot headed in an interview after 1 of the games.

From a Mendes interview in Spain TV yesterday.

Mendes believes goalkeeper David De Gea, another of his clients, is not going anywhere either.

The 24-year-old Spaniard, who joined United for a £17.8m fee in 2011, has been linked with a big-money move to Real Madrid.

"He has one year left on his contract and I think that he will stay in Manchester," said the 49-year-old Mendes, who is reported to have brokered more than £1bn worth of transfers.

"The player will decide, but he's happy there, at the moment."

Which is why it would be hilarious if we were to get Pogba. Arguably the best midfield in the world, made up from the castoffs of Chelsea, Barca and United.

I have been wetting myself silly at the thought of a Fabregas-Matic-Pogba midfield. Imagine if we got Reus as well to play with Hazard and Costa. Holy mother of god

I think we have around £60m/ £70m to play with before we would have to sell. So if that's right we wouldn't have to sell many players to fund a deal for Pogba and Reus, but I doubt Reus will be joining us.

If we wanted to, we could buy both without selling. It wouldn't be advisable to but we could

Not sure tbh. Bloke on SSN said you will have to sell before you can spend big on bringing in big names. Don't know if he was telling truth or not, just said Chelsea will have to always balance the books before spending big. Will see I guess.
