Its a shock how bad Rio and Vida are now. Don't recall Stam dropping off at the tail end of his career so bad.

Injuries have been the main problem imo, especially for vidic who was never as good after the 2012 knee injury and rio has had a bunch of calf (i think calf) problems which are a killer especially for cb's.

I also think they brought the best in each other and any other partnership wasn't quite the same.

Just watching Juve game boy they have some quality young and old. Wonder where Pogba or Vidal will end up this summer. And Kingsley Koman gonna be a start imo.
 
A few serie a midfielders i like but not seen much of them in real life if i'm honest like allan and bruno fernandes also.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have another feature on the future of young Brazilian Kenedy in their Thursday newspaper. With Kenedy being a Barcelona target no expense is spared on the plaudits and he's elevated to the best player under 20 years old in Brazil and one of the country's new generation of sensations.

Kenedy is an 18 year old forward and Mundo Deportivo say he has an incredible power in his shots, reminiscent of Hulk. He's considered more creative than Hulk and held aloft by legends of the Brazilian game. The boy is a bit highly rated.

His full name is Robert Kenedy Nunes do Nascimento and the Spanish newspaper explain that he's named after Bobby Kennedy, brother of JFK. The shortened version of 'Kenedy' is on Barcelona's shopping list and 'underlined in red' by the club's new shopping guru Ariedo Braida.

Barcelona's strong interest won't automatically end in success, partly because of his complicated ownership say Mundo Deportivo, but they also point out strong competition from others - claiming Manchester United have already offered €8m. That works out to be about £6m and could be more pleasing to Kenedy's current club Fluminense than other offers.

Fernando Simone, executive director of Fluminense, spoke TMW in Italy recently and confirmed bids had gone in "We have received formal offers but nothing is happening: for €5m to €6m we certainly wouldn't sell. How much? We do not put a fixed price, we can say that we'll listen to the best."

I don't know, to me there's a lot of positives to what Van Gaal has done.

The late goal are back. The entire squad looks alive and determined again. Just look at Young's celebration after that goal, he nearly tore the badge off his shirt. Under Moyes it was like watching a funeral.

You can say the style isn't good to watch, but at least there is a style. Under Moyes I watched at least 30 games and at no point I had any ******* idea what the guy is even trying to do. And I doubt the players knew, either.

Bunch of players who everyone thought of as deadwood have resurfaced, Young and Fellaini in particular. Young has really been driving those attacks forward last few games.

De Gea is playing better then ever, and the part of credit has to go to arrival of Frans Hoek. The dude literally wrote a textbook on modern goalkeeper coaching that half the world now tries to clone. Can look it up here http://soccercoachinginternational.com/pdf/SCI 05.8 Frans Hoek.pdf

Securing top 4 is certainly a worry, but its not all doom and glom.
 
Although he has done well, fellaini needs to be backup and nothing else next season not plan b but plan c or d.

Definitely the players of the United of yore =P Young, adaptable players, and I'd be gleeful with them. Well, dunno Kenedy, never seen him play, but Saul, Depay and Clyne, definitely.

But then again, we also need a striker. RvP is woeful atm, and no clue if Falcao will ever get back to the player that he was. Ideally, going by this season's performances, Falcao shouldn't be bought at the end of the loan. If so, add either Dybala and/or Lacazette to that list..
 
I hope Evans and Cisse gets lengthy ban if found guilty but spitting incident gets bigger than racism is just lol worthy and Chelsea fans think they are getting done by FA.

FA is incompetent. If people could just realize that, we'd all be in agreement instead of people stupidly arguing over who the FA is conspiring against.

The FA are a massive gang of incompetent shitheads to put it mildly.

Anyone found guilty of racism should get 10-15 games with a fine of 2-3 wages and i even think that's getting off lightly

The chances that Newcastle did create were from individual errors more than just developing their own play. Granted, they had their chances, but conversely if you don't take your chances, do you deserve to win? Unlikely.

We could - and should - have created more chances. But we took our one off their own haphazard defending. And given previous proceedings, it was as much of a deserved win as it would have been if Newcastle had scored from theirs.
