Btw what a talent Shaw is. He is just superb defensively and carries the ball forward so effortlessly. His final ball is missing but he is not a winger but at least he just cross blindly. He picks the passes.

27 Million fee will look like a bargain in few years just like it did with Rio.

Highly promising prospect who's developing well.

Gets dragged inside and out of position defensively still but that will rectify itself itself with experience/ a more settled partner inside of him. As will the final ball when he strides forward.

Very good, quick, ball playing full back.

Also great news for England NT. Smalling and Shaw started the season brilliantly and there is no reason for them not to start for England.

Been excellent so far this season, hard to believe how young he still is.

No one remembers about fee if a player turns out a success.

Last month celebrated his 20th birthday. Him and Darmian are just superb full backs.

Absolutely flabbergasted a bigger Italian club didn't pick up Darmian before us like a few seasons back. Or any other big club for that matter especially the likes of Atletico and Dortmund they usually pick up the good talent like this.

Did a CL draw using CL Draw

City with an easy group? Nah, clearly wont come out like that.

At least if you get one tricky team in the group stages you get a chance to see how you shape up against a strong opponent, whereas if you have an easy group breeze through it and then face stronger team you don't get any opportunity to fail without going out of the competition.

So it's not the end of the world if you get one strong team in the group, maybe even beneficial.

My dream draw would be

PSV, man united, Dinamo Kiev, astana

Indeed.

Astana are crapper than ****. Went to see them play last nite to be absolutely pulverised (29% possession!) by local team APOEL (same happened in the first match) and yet still manage not to lose somehow ... Felt really bad for the APOEL players and all my mates and family who support them (the 17 mil money they would have got by qualifying for the CL groups for the 2nd season running would have been a real lifeline/gamechanger for them) as well as for the 20k people who went to see them and kept singing for the full 90 minutes.

We would have a real ball in such a group ...

I can't believe PSV in the first pot and Real Madrid in the 2nd, something should be wrong in that group :P

I dont know if Sky Sports News are showing the draw but its on Eurosport from 5pm (for those that don't have BT)

I hope it doesnt come out like that

From the clubs POV maybe not. But from a travelling fan POV that would be a brilliant group. Seville and Gladbach would be boss trips. Paris and their Neanderthals less so but still a relaxing break.

Conversely, that may be great from the clubs POV but not so much as a travelling fan. Only Eindhoven gives it any redeeming factor. The only good thing to say about Kiev is you no longer need a visa. And Astana is just a logistical nightmare for would be the longest trek ever made in European competition.
