Also this. Our net spend is £0 basically, and all the dead wood we have shifted has free'd up our wage budget. It's still a panic buy but it's less like "hey we need to spend this extra money even tho we already spent a fortune" and more like "okay, we have money we can pay extra sure"

Precisely, in some ways its clever, and in others it's an obvious reaction buy. I really didn't think it was true because its so outlandish in many ways.

But I guess I'm meeting the Queen tomorrow...

Exactly, we're literally rolling in money with the kit deal and everything else.

Does anyone think we may go for Garay at this stage as well? Would actually really like us to get him.

Do you not rate him? I personally think he'd be a good signing and add some presence/know-how/experience to our defence. Only problem is he is right-footed, but disregarding LVG's belief I'd play him with Smalling with Rojo being the rotational option. Plus Rojo can act as cover for Shaw as well.

He's a good defender. Though pointless if he isn't playing instead of Blind. Rojo should return soon though.

Chelsea already tried to get him, Zenit really don't want to sell this late into the window

He could be next Pele for all I care, right now you need proven quality not more prospects. Wilson is already fitting that slot.

Martial has 13 goals in 61 apps, does anyone seriously believe Hernandez or Wilson can't pull that off?

He's a potentially lot better than both. And can play wide.

Yeah, couldn't really get into 13, had some decent saves on 14 though but didn't get hooked as much as others or 15.
