I just find it very strange how Wilson and Pereira haven't even featured at all but now they are suddenly going to be a part of the squad.

When in conferences LVG has talked up Januzaj about giving him chances etc. and has featured in the starting line up of 3/5 games we've played so far this year then suddenly gets loaned out. Chicharito has come on off the bench a few times as well. If LVG seemingly wanted to utilise Pereira and Wilson, why not involve them sooner?

Because its only been 6 games?

Yes, I know that. But my point is it don't strike as if it was very well planned or else you could of forgot about the two we've discarded and get Wilson/Pereira in on the bench from the first game. Rather than subbing and using Chicharito in CL, use Wilson in the qualifier vs Brugge.

God Nick Powell. Forgot all about him.

There's an example of a youngster that moved too early. He'd of been better continuing his education at a great base in Crewe.

Then get his move up if he was good enough around the age he is now.

If that isn't proof our squad options is on the thin side I don't know what is.

There's an example of a player who let ego get in his way, ask the Wigan fans. Was incredible in europe, then didnt turn up second half of the season for them and didnt pitch up till his injury.

Play's into what I was alluding to. Someone that thinks he's made it before his career has even begun.

The PL is littered with kids who flash being taken so early by the bigger clubs that just disappear. When you're at a great little club like Crewe who really take care of kids and play them, don't force things. Sit, learn, develop, then if you're still showing you'll get your move up.

Of course there's the exceptionally talented exceptions. But a lot of kids just see the early glamour now and fall into that trap of thinking they're 'it' which is sad.

You know he's been named in the CL when we've been in it before right?

Probably has but then again our squads have been quite poor over last few seasons anyway. Especially end of Fergie era and Moyes season.

Jesus christ guys. Watch this video of Martial against Valencia in UCL Qualifier few weeks back.

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x32ewc8_anthony-martial-vs-valencia-ucl-qualifier_sport

After watching this, it got me ****** excited to get a flavour of what he can really offer on a big stage.

He makes good/decent runs on 3, 4 and 5 mins. The rest of the video isn't really worth watching. He should have had an assist though great save from the keeper.

There are better highlights of the lad about.

Be a crying shame if and when Valencia finally get some money together and complete the half built new stadium.

The Mestalla is my favourite ground in Spain. Brilliantly atmospheric. Steeped banked stands that have you right on top of the pitch no matter how high you are. Monolo and his bar right outside. And a fantastic Spanish City to boot.

What's not to like? :)

And a stone-wall penalty after that dribble from his own half and the skill he ultimately made into the box past 2 defenders?? Go to 4 minutes 44 seconds in for the part I mean.

Technically he did have an assist, the equalising Monaco goal he done all the work played a driven cross and defender couldn't get it away and it fell straight to the scorer. (Whoever it was).

Planning, or was, a few football excursions next year to watch some league games in Spain, France, Germany (etc). Considered Valencia strongly. My favourite Spanish team for sure. Mestalla must be amazing, need to go before they Nuevo Mestalla comes in.

Been in some other La Liga grounds?

Run on 3 mins is the goal, He wouldn't get an assist for that, the defender fell and he mis-hit his clearance. but the pass for the save in the first shoulda been buried.

run on 5 mins is the pen shout. I mentioned that.

Always will to run with it though, bodes well. LVG will drill it out of him soon enough.. lol

Yeah, LVG seems strangly inconsistent.

Publically went guns blazing on Valdes, Valdes is now part of the squad again.

Publically promised Januzaj will play important role, Januzaj gets loaned.

Chicharito, same thing

Meanwhile, Wilson and Pereira didn't feature at all, and now they're suddenly important.

Its mildly confusing. :P

Everything I've seen of this guy is a lot of what we we seem to lack at the moment in attacking sense (apart from the obvious - goals). This will be a very true test as to whether it's the players or the manager who is having this effect.

If Martial comes in and suddenly plays in his shell totally unlike we've seen in them videos. I know for a fact LVG is doing something wrong. You can't take that kind of trait out of a young player like that, being careless is one thing but having the ability/willingness to create something is what creates them unlocking defence moments we've seen him do. Honestly we've lacked people taking risks and running at defenders in our previous games so he'd solve this, if LVG lets him play that way.

You don't pay this amount of money for players like Di Maria and Martial to want them to be conservative is what I'm saying. They will **** up at times sure, Di Maria definitely went past the line of being careless which was his downfall, but you do want them to produce their style of play, which takes risks.

Uh huh. Barcelona, Madrid (One of my favourite City's in the World. Take the Bernabeu over the Nou Camp. But I'd take Atletico' over them both. That place BOUNCES! And Rayo Valecano last year unplanned to see them play Eibar the night before we played Real), La Coruna (which literally backs onto the beach), and Betis. Which is in Seville. Another awesomely great Spanish City. Took a horse and cart, literally, to that game but that's another story ha ha.

Had to think about that. Sure there's another Spanish one I missed out on through lack of funds but I can't remember who we played. Celia Vigo maybe?

Anything I can advise you on nearer the time feel free to hit me up.
