The Manchester United Thread

Don't really see much of what he said wrong there to be fair. They were similar looking buys at the time and one did cost more. All he had wrong was the impact of each player to their respective clubs - thus far anyway.

And actually he's kind of right about Origis contribution so far haha

suns had a thing for me for weeks.

Stop interfering in his obsession you! It's kind of cute. If creepy.

There was lot of wrong in those posts tbf.

Your last point is spot on :P

Obsession? I called you out long back and it' so obvious that you are just a troll, at least when it comes to United thread.

Martial's composure was again very impressive, so was his physicality in handling City defense. Created the best chance in the game.

Oh forgot, Origi was compared with Martial here by few and it wasn't even surprising though considering who posted that.

You disagreed is what you did. On the respective quality of Evans and Fergusons squads down to one group not winning what the other did. And you've had a hard-on for anything I post ever since.

Funny how I have decent conversations on Utd with most every other Utd fan within this thread the vast majority of the time but to you it's trolling.

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Good day Sir. Nothing more needs adding on this.

All i said about martial is that he's a beast on fifa

He's completely exceeded expectations so quickly and been fantastic. As has been noted in here on more than one occasion.

But remembering positives don't play into the negative story being spun.

VERY surprised the Met. and PL have L'pool and Utd down in London Sat'day. VERY rare that happens these days.

On the plus side, we're on the 6:07 train back so shouldn't bump into any Utd fans as it takes at least an hour to get back over from Selhurst. The best way is using Norwood Junction. (Or is it South Norwood? I forget.). That grounds one of the worst for travel in the Capital.

Just never clever to have both sets of fans potentially on the same trains back home from Euston.

Riot police were out in KC/St P this weekend so I imagine they'll be well prepared. ;)

Wrong thread but semi-related .....

See three Everton 'fans' got sent down last week for a **** house attack their last away game at West Ham last year when they went through a pub of Newcastle and Hull fans. (Who'd been at 'Spurs and QPR respectively and were drinking happily together ringing in the end of the season.). O'Neil's I think over the road from KC/St.P. but don't quote me.

The youngest was 15. Starting your life out like that with a record for a gutless, unprovoked attack including woman and kids. Sighs.

*Edit* A quick text reveals it was pub in Islington. Just how the f they all ended up there (Newcastle from 'Spurs I get) heck only knows.

If DDG has a reasonable release clause in his new contract then I can see them getting him anyway. As good as Navas is, I dont think he quite fits the "Galactico" tag like DDG would. Unless they are going to use a massive chunk of their budget for somebody like Pogba.

True as real madrid are all about business and de gea would market better

The way I see it, if Martial flopped then no one would have said a thing. But since Martial started so well, it's the gloating season for those can never resist. Nature of the game really

I don't find much wrong with Scouse's post either. A little underplaying of Martial's ability but that's expected from a LFC fan

Its all wishful thinking as far as I'm concerned.

Rooney is done for. If you break into top flight early, before you're physically ready to play vs. grown men, there's always a price to pay. Torres, Owen, Rooney, same story.

Rooney may only be 30, but his mileage is that of a 35-year old athlete. That's basically what's going on here.

Pointless comparing him to Giggs. Giggs is a genetic freak of nature. Dude's ******* 41, retired for 2 years now, and still looks in as good shape as any of the players.

I think its unfair to say that he's done for. Maybe when the season is over and he hasn't improved sure, but when its not even half way through the season, at least give him some more time.

I do think he needs to be benched though and/or given a few weeks break. I think it'll do him good and he'd come back better.

I don't see what Wayne Rooney will gain on the bench. It's not like he's not putting his shift in. His work rate is still excellent and he just needs to pick up form because he looks very rusty. Rooney has obviously undertaken a huge physical decline, however he's still a world-class finisher with wonderful technique.

Agree with your point but not your examples. Torres and Owen were done due to being rushed back from injuries and not the mileage they accumulated on the pitch. Even Owen admits that if he could go back and do things again, he would ensure he recovered properly from his first knee injury rather than rush back onto the pitch

And by the way things are going, you can add Fabregas to the list

And Falcao!

I thought we would see a decent season from Rooney this year as main striker, he just looks lost all the time. Too slow to react to pick out even obvious passes

Owen was never the same player after the first injury. The hammy he suffered against Leeds. Same with Torres who tore his. (Forget the opposition.).

Once olayers like that who's whole game is based on speed lose a step they're on the road down. The main part of their respective games went over night.

Take that moment were he outmuscled otamendi on sunday for example

He was waaay too slow to pick out martial's run to the left...

Martial made the run in behind...rooney delayed...i thought he was thinking of a shot on goal then makes the pass that he should've made 3 seconds ago
