The Manchester United Thread

Still don't understand why we'd get rid of Rafael considering how much Young has played as a fullback this season.

If you had Darmian, Valencia as full backs, as well as Jones, Young, McNair, all being able to moongliht on the right. Perfectly understandable.

Young, McNair and Jones are not fullbacks, so no it isn't. It's square pegs in round holes that cost us.

2nd half is terrible. United can't hold the ball at all. Fellaini is doing nothing, Herrera as well. Get Carrick and, I don't know, Januzaj? on...

I don't understand why Fellaini isn't off, he's a walking red card with a yellow and rough game like this. Carrick must be injured or something?

No, but they can play there. How many people do you think a club can afford to keep for each position before players start losing their **** for lack of play time? You have two decicated full backs and bunch of decent backups. That's about as good depth as you can expect.

We've created very, very little in this second half.

EDIT: OMG LOL ROONEY.

Much, much better movement wise in attacking areas tonight, it's like watching a different team with the freedom to express themselves. LVG needs to keep it like this in attacking areas, if we keep our defence good we'll be on to something again.

******* **** what a strike.

Unfortunately it takes a deflection off your worst player bar Fellaini today.

God **** it Smalling, all 3 goals on him tonight. It just had to happen. Best defender ***** up this badly. Oh well. At least it was fun game. When did United last time score 3 goals?

Terrible defending by Memphis in the build up to goal. Just ******* boot it, you're not a defender.

What the **** do we make of that in the end?? Conceded 3 goals to a team who have lost their last 4 games and hadn't scored a goal in god knows how many games.

**** sake.

Great attacking game, but some truly shocking defending at points. But it was a great game and makes a change. Also nice to LVG showing some passion tonight. I'm angry right now because we threw it away but loved the game and I'll be happy with the performance tomorrow.

I think it's settled at this point, that you can either have great football, or great results from this team. Never both. Every time Van Gaal looses the chains a little bit, the attacking play looks thrilling but defense goes to down the toilet. If he's in grind mode he's at least getting wins, even though the games are dogshit to watch.
