The Manchester United Thread

Anyone heard anything about Shaw and his injury, Is he on track to recover and possible be back around the first team in March or April ?

Cope are reporting for Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid that we've offered €25m and that we'd like to do a "friendly" deal. Atletico are apparently saying, "come back in June," but we're still talking over a deal apparently.

Arsenal also had deal in place month ago, but Atletico backed out after injury to one of their midfielders. Doubt he will move now.

He has a release clause though, so I don't think they can prevent it if the player wants the move.

Man Utd News: van Gaal accuses Mata of disobeying him during SUFC win | Metro News

Left footer mid player to hold right wing...? It is natural for him to cut inside.

Perfect proof of Thierry Henry's analysis about LVG's rigid system not allowing attacking players freedom to express themselves or more from their position to make runs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDAkmRkbVNI - That's the video of Henry's analysis of LVG's tactics compared to Pep's with Barcelona.

Yeah and Arsenal only had deal in place with Atletico and not the player himself. I think he's been playing quite a lot now so I think he will stay until summer at least.

Most likely yes, then again our Spanish contingent might be convincing him, as long as he's not speaking to Valdes.

Yeah, but why are Utd trying to sign him now? Perhaps 2-4 positions that need signings more imo.

Stay wide and keepwidth. On the right side.
Am I correct that Mata is left footed? I am no football player but if your strong leg is left it is hard for player who is natural mid player to hold width on the right. Wingers dont cut inside without the ball so much? So he needs a winger on the right not to blame Mata for something he hasent done.

I am sorry if I get it wrong, i dont have so much knowledge on football tactics and how to use players. But for me its hard to see how he wants to make him a winger. On the left maybe yeah. He can hold to the line and cross with left.

Did you never play football? If you have to stay on the right, you stay on the right. It's not like his right foot is limp or something. ****, modern players are **** of a lot more competent with their weaker foot than it was 15-20 years ago.

Newcastle also playing side to side...this maybe one of the most boring games I'm about to witness

What are the idiot BT commentators saying that it's not a penalty. It was as clear of a handball as I can imagine.
