The Manchester United Thread

Because replacing everyone that has a bad game would lead us to using u15 players. You act like Mata isn't one of our best players.

Idk what Mata has even done, when was the last time he got an assist/goal?

6 months of good football.

Madrid - Won Supercup, Finished 2nd, Runners up cup, CL Semis
Chelsea - Finished 3rd, won 1 cup, won 1 league.

Wow, finished 2nd in La Liga with Madrid and won prestigous super cup.
*golf clap*

Why is Blind still taking corners? It's been 3 months since he put a good ball in.

Well what a waste of time this game is, admittedly we are winning but I wanted to see us actually tested.

This Shrewsbury side has literally defended deep, put no pressure on our players until half way inside their half with a 5 at the back formation, just dire from them.

Just scored a goal.

I said the last time, meaning before this game, as I posted it before.

The answer to my question would of been politely, you couldn't remember the last time Mata had assisted or scored a goal because it had been absolutely ages, literally over 15 games.

And it still took a lucky deflection and a pen for you to score.

Embarrassing.

Hope it stays 2 nil, backed the draw on the handicap Man U -2. How has the game been, dire or has it been good? Drinking wine and watching X Files with the mrs so no footie for me :(

It's a weird one. They are apparently offside for that, but if they just moved up, still obscuring the view but in line with the last defender, it wouldn't offside? That doesn't make any sense.

Not anything exciting but not really dire. Man Utd controlling the game but having hard to breaking down Shrewsbury defence in the final third.

Shrewsbury have actually changed to a decent formation, 4 at the back instead of 5 and have decided to play football this half.

I have no idea why they went 5 at the back against us in first half.

Actually I think it would be Derby but he could have done something after that I forgot

edit actually it was Matas shot that martial scored the rebound of vs Sunderland so the answer would be 2 games ago

Strange experience watching a Utd game (now turned over at 3) quite happy to see you winning so it keeps Van Gaal in place.

Even if you now go out Thursday the Cup should buy him more time.

I don't think you got the sense of exaggeration in my post but does that really count? I mean technically maybe but a rebounded shot shouldn't really count for an assist.

It maybe a knee jerk reaction, and I know it's his first season in a new league, and he's young, but is Memphis just another Nani? Really frustrating

Pretty sure he was involved in most of your goals recently, no? He doesn't always make the assist, but he often makes the pass before the assist.
