The Manchester United Thread

Balls out Louis. It's been ****** season, but to beat Arsenal while playing essentially a C team, that's superb achievement.

Seeing our C team have some very promising players is all the better as well, I mean could Martial and Rashford be our next Cole and Yorke? Early days I know but they both look like they are going to be a big part of United future.

Van Gaal is a ******* beast with that dive :D

I want him little less sacked now.

I love the fact that he dives on the floor, but doesn't lose even one page of his notes. The same thing happened with his famous karate kick during CL final.

You can do theatrical dives and kung-fu kicks in the air, but the notes are sacred scripture and cannot touch the floor.

I guess Rooney can get on the plane to China now, seeing as with him out of the side it somehow looks more balanced.

Long time has been in the side without really adding much to it IMO, ok you can say leadership and experience but apart from a good scoring spell in January I think he has long been picked just for his reputaton.

A striker like him doesn't help our style of play or bring in the players like Mata to their best in comparison to say a Rashford who really moves the defence around with what he brings to the table.

Bit like my pint

I'm expecting to wake up at some point and realise I missed the match.

Yep...

This Rashford kid looks a talent, anyone on these boards know much about him because I know essentially zero.

Also was the Arsenal diving bad? and then to think they moaned like **** about Barcelona in midweek lol

Oh I am so proud of the young lads today...written off by many. Memphis toyed with bellerin all game which was really good to see...Mata had a fantastic match. Looks like he's more suited to counterattacking football despite being a slow player. Varela was really good...kept Sanchez in check...schniederlin was ******* beastly...Herrera was pretty good as well. And rashford...take a ******* bow son...take a bow...gives us a conundrum once martial and rooney return from injury.

But the energy shown from the lads was ******* amazing

If I remember correctly, this is the standard for United vs Arsenal. Arsenal control possession and stay buried in our half, whilst me counter attack them to shreds.

Highly rated winger/striker. He started wide, then switched to a strike position last? season. Top goal scorer for u21 at the age of 17. He's somewhat clinical, but what makes him good is his off the ball movement. He's fast, but not fast as some elite players. Stronger than he looks. He can play anything across the top 4. Thats why we are so excited with the prospect of Martial, Janzuaj, Depay and Rashford, who all can interchange, all are unpredictable, and if they click, well then, G ******* G.

Rashford's really raw technically, but his movement is excellent.

What a game, full of 3rd choice to 5th choice players and won the game against Arsenal.

Rashford made a great start to his career. 4 goals in 2 games. Schneiderlin is a beast. Rojo is very solid player and still can't understand some of the criticism he got.

Overall very happy with the result and it was great to see Van Gaal showing some emotion on the touch line.

Also it's funny when media talk so much **** about our academy and few fans here lap it up. Shiny toys are of no use if young players are not given chances. In the last few weeks our youngsters got chances and made it count.

Hopefully Rashford will go on to have a very successful career.

The 'kids' have definitely made it count but come on, it's not like LvG had a choice. He's been forced into playing youth because of injuries.

He did it before the massive injury crisis. Instead of playing players out of position, for the most part he has trusted his young players.

Also that's not even the point, it's about all the **** written about ManUtd academy.

Lot more than that.

Also it's pathetic that fans abuse him so much for thin squad and crisis and at the same time not give him credit for giving platform for young players.

You have to read his interviews to see how he operates with his squad.
