Sigh. Just when we get a few good results we undo with a result like this. Sums up this season and it's not good enough.
 
I'm not knocking the lad but why the **** is rashford still on the pitch and not Memphis. He should have been off after an hour coz he's done nothing. Memphis has started playing well and personally I would have started him over Lingard but after an hour Memphis should have been on for rashford. And why the **** do u take Herrera off for schneiderlin when we have no Mata on the pitch? So now we have 2 holding midfielder and nobody capable of going forward into the hole. Carrick should have gone off for schneiderlin. Actually Carrick shouldn't have even started over schneiderlin.

Always one step forward and 3 steps back with LVG. I really don't understand some of his selections and substitutions

Telling yer. The battle for third/ fourth is going all the way between anyone up there not currently in first and second.

These substitutions make literally no sense, apart from the Memphis for Rashford.

We are losing and we take off Herrera for Scheniderlin... should of been Schneiderlin for Carrick from the start of the ****** game.

Now he's bringing on Fosu-Mensah, what the ****.
 
1-0 down and playing like we are 2-0 up, no urgency no passion. LVG may have had a good week, but I think we (or myself at least) allowed the 3 wins to give us some hope of change, but two of those games were against teams we should of waled over anyway and Arsenal are in ***** form. The watford win was luck and here we are again in the same position as a few weeks ago.
 
Our plan this half has been absolutely stupid, hoof the ball up to Martial and hope for what?

All we've ****** done this half is accept we're going to lose and we were second best with 11 men as well so I'm not surprised.

****** dire, go out with a bang not without even trying.

Only side to lose with 10 men this weekend .....
 
L'pool, West 'Am, L'pool and City.

Heck of a run coming up in three different competitions. Two main rivals and a West Ham side that's flying, desperate to win the Cup, and has previous in winning at Utd in the competition.

MASSIVE month. Season defining month.

Why the **** would you bring Darmian back for this game anyway when Varela has been the RB of a winning side.

None of the changes today made sense in the starting line-up and well the substitutions were ******* laughable.

LVG has no clue on subs, I'm convinced of it. He can't take blame for Mata sending off but it was still unacceptable performance. We offered nothing with 10 men, in a weekend where teams like West Ham and Liverpool can still show at least a bit of something with 10 men.
 
Think Mata's dismissal was justified tbh, just really silly of him and Dean didn't really need to give him another chance to atone.

All-around bad day for Manchester United for everyone involved except for Smalling and perhaps Darmian. Fortunately, it was against West Bromwich Albion, who do not have the personnel to mercilessly punish teams with a man down, unlike some others.

Have to move on now, nothing we can do. Manchester City away is the next league fixture. Mata should be available for the short trip.

Yeah I have no idea why would manager start a first-choice right back instead of a youngster.

Mate, losing Milner and losing Mata is a different thing entirely. You can't create if you have no creator on the pitch.

Varela isn't young he's like 24 and why is Darmian first choice anyway? I mean I thought that it was based on who was better in terms of form but it appears not. Varela was great vs Arsenal and solid vs Watford, he offers more going forward than Darmian and has defended just as well, it's mind boggling to me why you'd make 4 changes to a winning team.

I take your point, but why the flying saucepan does he not bring on Pereira? He is one of the most creative players we have and one of our best youth players, yet in a game like this he still refuses to bring him on, when we are in desperate need of some creativity. Quite frankly I'm not even sure if he was on the bench but you can bet your life he wasn't coming on whether he was on the bench or not.
