Few rumours going round that Mendes will be Marcos Rashfords first agent.
..... Also more people are agreeing with my viewpoint to let Stones move on. He's regressing under the current management and would hate to see that happen-let him move on. We're ****-simply put. We have no winning attitude from the board down to the pitch.
This was one of my complaints a while back when I was saying about our lads not getting a chance as much over the years. Keane was a fantastic prospect. Could have been a really good squad player if given the game time. But we ended up buying Phil Jones and pushed him back down the pecking order. Now Phil Jones can't play 3 games without injured again yet Keane is flourishing playing every week. Always said he'd be back in the premiership within a couple of years whether that be with Burnley or somewhere elseMichael Keane is named in the championship team of the year. Would be good to see him in PL next season.
I thought Tom Thorpe deserved a shot as well as Shawcross and others. I can understand why they were let go, but some were easily good enough to be squad players. This was one of my complaints a while back when I was saying about our lads not getting a chance as much over the years. Except the geographical location there is nothing local about the english clubs.
Owners are foreign.
Sponsorships and investments comes from foreign companies.
Managers are foreigners.
Most of the star players are foreigners.
So why only exception to the youth football?
For example, middle east fella invested 1 billion at ManCity, why shouldn't some young players from his country use the facilities?
I agree that most youth players rarely show their true ability until they are 22-24. I also agree that the costs of bringing the majority of them in far outweights the benefits as most turn out to be average players so financially, more sense to invest in local talent
However, there are many talented footballers who probably have zero hope of realising their potential unless they are able to utilize the top facilities and coaches at the EPL clubs. Especially players in countries outside Europe. A good example off the top of my head would be the Da Silva twins who probably would not be as good if they remained in Brazil. I am sure there are much better examples mind

FM Wonderkid I'm sold. Tbh though he had been pretty poor this season by usual standards but at the back end he has picked up some good form again.TIELEMANS4PRESIDENT!
So who do you think Mouwill take youngster wise on tour this summer ? I would maybe like to see more this tour even though it is shorter than usuall. Just for it being the Euros and we can't be doing with players being injured or tired when the season starts. And obviously because I think we have some very talented players who I would like to stake a claim.
Yeah my thoughts too. TFM, Varela, Periera, CBJ, Riley and Williams, Tuanzebe would like to see go obviously Rashford and Wilson. Maybe Rothwell, Goss. All of those in the team currently. A lot of our players will be coming off Euros so there will be lots of opportunities
The Da Silvas were ridiculous talent, even at that age, so they are different as I alluded to. What I'm against is picking up players from abroad when they are not much better than what is currently there locally

Also shows how slight things can change the outcomes and careers of the players.
Player that the team needed at the time in a certain position, injuries etc. They were both rated really highly, same coaches, same facilities yet one played loads for United and the other had to go off to another team to get games.
Quite a shame they didn't hold a flank each for a good few years at United
Fabio beset by injuries, both were really. Such a shame.
Apparently on red issue there saying season ticket prices for next season are at an all time low. And are struggling for new sales. Also saying the club plan to announce Mou as soon as the fa cup has finished for us either winning or going out in the semi to help boost sales again for season tickets. Don't know if true, but in not surprised about ticket sales being low.

None of that is necessarily good. Just because we might have gone too far in other areas, doesn't mean we should give up in all areas.
My mate was at the game and he said there was loads of people outside struggling to give away there's spare tickets and one bloke could only sell his for 5 pounds. Shame really but can understand some fans frustrations.Just been reading a piece from Mitten on just how down on capacity OT was for the game against Palace with so many ST holders staying away. LONG time since Utd has been like that.
Just adds to Van Gaal's list of horrors at yours.
