How do people think we would fair if we went into next season with -

GK- DDG, Romero, Jhonstone, Periera

RB- Darmian, Valencia, Varela
LB- Shaw, CBJ, Riley

CB- Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Tuanzebe, Williams, Poole

RW- Lingard, Januzaj
LW- Martial, Memphis, Young

DM- Schniederlin, Blind, McNair

CM- Schweinstiger, Herrera, TFM, Rooney, Goss

AMC- Mata, Peirera

STR- Rashford, Wilson

And Mou in charge?

Looking at that it should get us in top 4 imo. Add Manolas, Sane, Ibra, CM should easy have us challenging on all fronts injuries permitting.

really martial on the wing?

Yes! A front three of him Ibra and Sane would be devastating there's no rush to put Martial up top. He's played most his career on the left. And is fantastic there FBs are ******** bricks when there up against him even when he has 2 or 3 squaring him up.

Tbh with the fees being reported we could most probably sign those 3 because Ibra is free and still have money for James.

No he doesn't. He can be just as much threat out left like he has been all season. He has double figures in his first season, I'm in no doubt next season he will score the same if not more than he has this season with a new manager and better tactics. You add Ibra up top there's gonna be loads more room for Martial. Then add a Pacey winger on the right bingo!

3rd or 4th. I like DDG and the left Shaw/Martial combo but the rest dont stand out or above anything the top 6 have as well.

I'd of been happy with Banega on a free. Has been good this season and pulling the strings against Pool atm. Good deal for the club that signed him can't remember who?

That's pretty much what we have this season and considering every other team will strengthen I don't think it would be good enough for top 4. There is weaknesses there, defence both in CB and RB (I don't like Valencia, positionally suspect during better teams testing him).

Also RW would be very risky considering Lingard and Januzaj both fail to live up to much and the midfield looks lacking.

We no doubt need to strengthen this summer with transfers and going with this squad again wouldn't be good enough. It would be 5th if we are lucky in my opinion, bare in mind teams should be better next season.

Yeah I agree we need to strengthen for sure I'm not worried about Arab thought tbh.

Could probably get away with it because I hope Darmian would be better next season.
Yeah I think he will be. He was good at the start tbh then had that shoulder injury and few knocks here and there. Still confident in him he is good defensively.

Its hard to say, but i imagine it would depend largely if Schneiderlin can step up and Rooney could emulate Scholes. Also if Rashford can score in every other game. And if oue defense, Blind that is, learn how to mark properly.
So i would not be optimistic.

What do people think of this

Ddg
Darmain, Smalling, Manolas, Shaw
Rooney, Schniederlin
Sane, James, Martial
Ibra

as a starting 11 pretty good that imo and realistic. That 11 and the rest of the squad should defo be challenging for the title.

That would be excellent. However, i woukd keep Mata and save some money. Buy some up and comming youngster and give hin the chance. Preferably someone to challenge and rotate wirh Rooney.

Mot a bad idea. Plus we have some good youngsters coming through Gribbin, Boonen, Gomes. I remember watching Martial and James at Monaco together sometimes it was like watching Yorke and Cole at times just both knew what each one was going to do next.

Might as well keep Mata tbh. But agree.

Unai Emery, always liked him as a manager, bit of an overlooked candidate for United.
