The Manchester United Thread

The biggest issue is whether his Madrid and London meltdowns were due to toxic culture in the club themselves, or whether he simply lost it. You may be in for quite a ride.

The common denominator is him, how many managers at those clubs had a similar meltdown?

Didn't think we will win the game once down to 10 men as Van Gaal's ManUtd rarely showed it but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a fantastic strike and good to end the season with a trophy. It's been 12 years we won it and very unlucky many times not to win it.

Very pleased for Van Gaal. I'm a big fan of his career and what he achieved. Didn't end well at United but that shouldn't cloud anyone's judgement on his career. Good to see him ending his career/time at United with a trophy.

On the news of Jose appointment, whoever leaked it should have a word with themselves. Should have waited few days before leaking/announcing it.

Can't wait for the start of next season and even preseason.

Carrick said Rooney offered him to share the lifting of trophy. Classy thing to do by Rooney who as a captain won his first title.

Good to see Carrick and Rooney winning FA cup, that's the only trophy they didn't win all these years.

Mourinho to United is looking likely. Next season is genuinely going to be epic with Mourinho and Pep at rival Manchester clubs. Just when you thought the EPL can do no better .... Fookin' ****

Gutted that Newcastle went down. Imagine having Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Conte, Wenger and Benitez trading blows in the media for the whole season.

My thoughts exactly. Pity Chelsea could not entice Simeone to come either .... Simeone, Pep and Mourinho in the same league again with Kloppo and Benitez would have been **** worthy

You are missing big Sam there. None better to troll than Big Sam.

Also just saw on Sky, Mendes confirmed that he is travelling to England on tuesday to finalise the deal. Looks like it was him or his camp that leaked it.

Must have been. The only reason for doing this is to put a lid on LVG's success so the fanbase accepts Mourinho faster. Total dck move by Mendes, but you gotta say the guy will stop at nothing to keep his clients happy.

Way too much power for a single person in the game where millions are exchanged.

Also what a year for Rashford. Playedd U18s, promoted to U21s, promoted to first team and became main stay there, started the FA cup finals and won it. All in span of just 6-8 months.

Do well to get Klopp involved. They tried that with Allardyce last year and failed miserably as both embarrassed the media over a non-story. He doesn't get involved the 'mind games' thing and will just laugh it off. Which will doubtless nark Jose more and have him take it out on Pep.

Let the the media build those two up and leave Jurgen to quietly go about his job.

Fixed. ;)
