The Manchester United Thread

Those signings would be great. And tbh none are unrealistic.
James while not unrealistic, wouldn't be very useful unless we are using a 10 AND selling Mata, because using him anywhere but 10 can cause serious defensive problem(vertical compactness is absolutely destroyed)which is why Zidane isn't using him this term(Real use a 4-3-3, without a 10)wouldn't put it past Mou to do it though

My Dream transfer signings would be Domenico Berardi(RW/ST), Ricardo Rodriguez(LB), Marquinhos(CB)and a revitalisation of Adnan Januzaj and Morgan Schneiderlin.

Think Mata would go. Not sure we need Rodriguez tbh. Berardi would be a good signing though. Like Marquinhos! And Januzaj needs to sort his **** out and pronto. Because Mou will move him on pronto if his attitude don't change.

Not a chance would I replace Mata with Berardi.

In fact, unless was a player who can either play across the front at elite level, or across the midfield band at elite level I wouldn't replace him.

How long would Zlatan stay if we bought him?Put nothing past Mou and his man management though, he could surely get Mata to stay if he wants him to, the word from Madrid is that James isn't leaving this summer, we don't need him anyway.I listed RR by mistake(I forgot that this is Utd I was talking about- I tend to mix real and man Utd a lot).If we can't get Morgan back to his best, then we'll need a midfield destroyer, don't know who though, ideas? No Kante please

Nor would I, I can't say my mouth doesn't water at the prospect of a Martial-Mata-Berardi trident behind Zlatan/Rashford

Do they still exist in modern football?
They do.They all are busy making mattresses though, except a couple, one of whom is in Bangkok and the other is in love with the Bayern physio.Tell me if you can name them all

Oh and one of them just got a yellow card

I don't detect humour.
Was that verbal diarrhea?

You didn't get the references(only a madridista will get the first one)Mattress makers are what we call Atletico players.Kante is in Bangko with Leicester, Javi Martinez is always injured(therefore loves Bayern physio)and Krychowiak just got a yellow card.

I don't think getting rid of Mata would be a good move, especially as soon as he arrives. Mourinho needs to keep the club and more importantly, squad morale in a positive state and fully connected with him. Selling Mata could have a negative effect before he has barely started on quite a few players, particularly the Spanish contingent with De Gea and Herrera.

If Mourinho really does not want Mata, at least wait until second season under his reign when hopefully we'll be back in Champions League. Options will be better and at least could say he gave him a chance.

On the bench.

Yeah, the journos have hounded the poor guy for like 1.5 a year, he handled it amazingly well and never had anything resembling a meltdown.

Can't wait to see how the meltdown specialist they're about to hire will handle that much pressure.

Yes. Soon it will be the national media vs whatever team Mourinho is managing. Version 7

One example comes in the form of Van Gaal’s “evaluation sessions” the day after every match when the Dutchman could be so outspoken in his criticisms – “he would crucify players in front of each other”, according to one source – the two most senior players, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick, went to see him to air their concerns that it was damaging for morale and, in effect, a self-defeating exercise.

Van Gaal, to give him his due, was always willing to listen to complaints and encouraged his players to speak up. But the bad feeling continued. From that point onwards, he started sending the players individual emails detailing their faults and submitting video clips to highlight his dissatisfaction. Except by that stage a lot of the players were so disillusioned many ignored the emails or redirected them straight to their trash. Van Gaal suspected as much and had a tracker fitted so he could check if the emails were opened and for how long. It became a game of cat and mouse. Some players opened the emails on their mobiles, then left their phones on the side and wandered off for 20 minutes.

Lol, this is way too specific to be true.

Someone has definitely told them this. I think it's true, Taylor is very good at that. But this smacks of players and people at the club wanting to bury him now he's gone.
