Michael Carrick expected to sign one-year contract extension in the coming days. Mourinho has told him he wants him in his squad next year.

Deal should be concluded by end of next week. Talks with Mourinho have gone well apparently.

Sounds harsh but I'm actually happy to see the back of Giggs, seems more like a burden on the club of late, at the end of the day he has been an assistant manager to two failed managerial reigns.

Lvg reign wasn't a complete failure tho.

Meh, in my eyes it was, football was dire and missing out on CL with that amount spent is just wrong. Not even like it was a strong league either, which makes it all the worse.

He delievered us FA Cup and I am happy for that but it is a small success amongst a bigger failure in my eyes anyway.

Wanted to see him in a United shirt for a long time. Anyway, will go home now and sign him in FM. :D

We should have signed him last season but understandable if we have concerns about his fitness. He is injured a lot and there were rumors last year that his back problem is still an issue and not recovered completely.

On Giggs, it's best for all parties. He should get out of the club to grow as a coach/manager. Hopefully he will get a nice job in PL or Championship.

Lol

Well he's injury prone and looks past the 2012-2013 gundogan I remember.

That gundogan I wanted at united. I'm pretty sure they're better options out there...we just need to find them

The spinal injury in 2013?
I think he was out for over a year, wasn't he?

Just watched a highlight reel of Ronaldinho and asked myself "what if he actually signed for united instead of barca?" Having a front 3 composed of Rooney, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho would've had defenders ******** themselves before a match.

RRR...****...

Not signing him was the biggest Kenyon **** up ever. I remember it as if it was yesterday. Even SAF in his first biography MANAGING MY LIFE alludes to said **** up.

73 Appearances in the last 2 seasons? not included interntationals, Hes hardly sturridge.

To be honest he did the job he that was given. Got rid of the deadwood, rebuild the team and transitioned to possession football. The tasks for this season was CL football and a trophy, he missed the former by goal difference and won the latter. Certainly a disappointment in the end, but hardly a collosal fuckup people are making it out to be.

It's easy to wank about his spending, but people forget what kind of monumental rebuild job he had on his hands. The squad that he inherited had a total of two players that weren't ****, Mata and De Gea. Now you have the best backline in the league, much improved midfield, and some of the most exciting youngsters in the world of football. Not too shabby for 2 years of work.

We can only speculate, but pretty sure he would never get fired if Mourinho wasn't available. For all Jose's faults, you can't pass up an opportunity like that.

Hey now. Sturridge put back-to-back 90 minutes together the end of the season in the soace of 4 days. Last time that happened football was still in black amd white or some ****. He's getting fitter and stronger all the time under Klopp amd a dedicated training programme. The buffoon in chrage of England is now liable to set that back years like and conpletey **** him up but he's been the healthiest hes been in living memory under Klopp.

Said it the other week when City announced it on there twitter feed, brilliany pick-up. Well affordable gamble on his heath for you guys to the immense talent he brings. Hate the fact he's now at a rival.

Sturridge has missed 70 games through injury since signing for Liverpool, hes miy goto crock. In this thread or the pool one i;ll switch it to Oxlade or Wilshere just for you from now on :D

I've not seen much of Gungodan if i'm honest, i'm presuming a Carrick type midifelder (wins the ball by reading the pass, rather than breaking legs) but 24 yr old carrick not 48 or whatever he is now :p
