The Manchester United Thread

This is how I see it, can be wrong of course but having LVG here wasn't a total disaster, that's for sure.

Never said he was a total disaster. I said we have to give him credit for Smalling's development and promoting lot of youth players.

All the players I mentioned looked like fish out of water when played. Herrera was very good when played but benched for no reason in 2014-15 season.

Yeah we wouldn't have signed if not for Schweinsteiger but once signed he wasn't used effectively. Darmian and Rojo looked poor before injuries too.

On a whole it wasn't a total disaster considering how he promoted many young players who could be the core of our future teams.

Base crashes are infurating since it messes up quote tracking and stuff.

Blondie Felli is bossing tha midfield tonight.

Would of had the Napoli fella' starting over him against that D. Guile not brawn was needed. Origi needs on to stretch this Italian defence.

Like 17 minutes ago.

*Edit* I'd of left Lukaku on like to help him out and not gone for a straight swap.

*Double Edit* Oh Divock lad. You HAVE to bury that!

And another. Sighs. Two bad free header misses that should of been goals.

Teenage Starlet Lee O'Connor Signs 3-Year Manchester United Contract

Teenage defender Lee O'Connor has talked about his delight at signing for Manchester United, the Irish youngster confirming his move from Waterford side Villa FC on a three-year deal.

The 15-year-old starlet is the Republic of Ireland's Under-16 captain, and was named the country's Under-15 Player of the Year last month after a series of impressive performances - and said that he hopes to break into the first team at Old Trafford.

Speaking exclusively to Adrian Flanagan, of Waterford Sport in the Waterford News & Star, he said: “I suppose for me in the end it wasn’t a very difficult decision to make. From the moment I went over to Manchester United, I just knew that there was no point me thinking about signing for any other club and I always wanted to go there.

“I want to develop as a football player and I want to become the best player that I can be by signing for one of the biggest clubs in world football. It was the best place for me to go. It’s the place with the best coaches and the best facilities so in that way, it was easy.

“When I went over to Manchester United I was lucky enough to train with the likes of Marcus Rashford and I’ve met many of the top players but the thing is I’ve signed for Manchester United in the hope of playing for the first-team.

“I’m going there because I want to play football. I want to play for the first-team of Manchester United and I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t be making this move unless I felt that I was good enough.

"I don’t think that Manchester United would want me to sign for them either if that’s what they didn’t want me to do."
