Mou on Mkytarian

Interviewer: Is it okay that we ask a question about Mkhitaryan, which we won’t use until its done. Is that okay? (Someone in the background says yes. Jose makes a facial expression saying ‘ask her, not me’.) The third signing, Mkhitaryan, who I’m sure many fans have seen play for Dortmund. What are you expecting to see from him here at Old Trafford?

Jose: First of all, let me say that we brought the player that was voted the Best Player in the French League and with Mkhi, we brought the player that was voted the Best Player in the Bundesliga. And voted not by the fans, not by the journalists – voted by the fellow players. And that is the one which means more, I believe – because when you’re fellow players are the ones that choose you, it means a lot. Mkhi is a fantastic player. And what I like more is the something that is undeniable, that is the number of goals he scores by not being a striker. His number of goals per season is really high for somebody who is not a striker. The number of assists is also very clear because it shows clearly his creativity, his vision, his concept of collective play, and is something that I believe is really important for a club like us. We’ll try to be dominant, and I’m sure we will face teams with a very defensive profile, which is his capacity of acceleration of the game. He has a change of speed, with ball and without ball, that is very very important for a club like us.

Tuanzebe is currently away with England U-19's at the Euro Champs BTW in Germany. First game for England is next Tuesday for anyone interested.

So you won't be seeing him at Wigan.
Are you sure could not find his name in the squad. And on the clubs website it says he will be called up for preseason.

The difference is, you could have killed that stone dead. Poor management from the very top.

Undeniably so. Club paid the price for backing Mourinho. United will need to clamp down on him when he starts to cross the line.

Huh? I was looking at the squad last week the UEFA site and he was in. Now it's changed to Borthwick-Jackson from United.

So no, I now aren't.

The site reacts to United, not the other way round. So any changes made take time to be reflected.

Yeah just checked the official UEFA site and the new updated England squad CBJ and Tuanzebe are not in the Euro u19 England squad.

Mhki (cant be arsed to spell check his name) is surprisingly good at pressing for the ball too for such a creative player.

Really cannot wait to see if him and Ibra click

Huh? Looking again it's got a last update date from the 30th March! But it's changed over the last week!

Which all sounds about right for UEFA. Ta.

We looking at the same page? Under-19 - England – UEFA.com

It surprises me for anyone to get 20+ in goals and assists through a season to be tracking around trying to defend that much

They all work hard and press high mate. Tuchel's just carried it on. Can't play for Dortmund if you're not prepared to work hard.

(I should have said defensive abilities more than just 'pressing' in my first post)

But nobody else gets those numbers, that's what shocks me. Other similar players are given more leeway in regards to their defensive responsibilities but he's racking up ridiculous numbers all round.

Di Maria - 50 apps - 15 goals 20 assists - 0.4 tackle average

Ozil - 53 apps - 10 goals 20 assists - 0.9 tackle average

Mkahshshalahstarian - 50 apps - 20 goals - 21 assists - 1.9 tackle average

Think Mourinho is going to love him

Will be our most important player next season imo.
