As I said no major forward comes here and doesn't get 9. The onky annoying thing is it being announced on social media first. Because the kit team and coaches were too slow

Hey, I'm with you. It's a complete non-story and I don't for one minute believe Martial knew nothing abut it.

It's not the number on a players back that matters anyway but what he does on the pitch for the badge on the shirt he's representing.
 
I think this whole story about the shirt change is bullocks. If his shirt number was given to zlatan, martial would've know before it was posted cos from what I hear, emails or texts are sent to the player about their shirt numbers before they are confirmed

It's just a shirt number. This whole unfollowing the club doesn't justify ****. Memphis once unfollowed the club last season on instagram and deleted all the pictures related to united. Then he rubbished the press by putting up a picture monogram of himself in a united shirt.

For some reason I always thought Cantona was 7, but yeah if that was his number Ican see why its legendary. Even though he left us for you for even at that time relative peanuts rivalry aside love that man, great footballer and absolute genius
 
Speaking of 7 and Best was just reading something about him and it said something I never knew. Glentoran rejected signing him as he was too small and light. That is a massive mistake

Agreed. Its no big deal but its just hilarious/ridiculous that a professional club can overlook something so blindingly obvious like that.

Yeah, upon reflection Johnny Barnes was just too good to be dragged down to your level. Good point. :P.

We had Baggio on a year's contract. All agreed. Been around the second treble winning season so it would of been Houllier. But the very day he was supposed to come over, Brescia came in and offered him a longer deal so he saw his career out there.

Right the back end f his career like, but it would of been absolutely awesome to see one of the best players the '90's in red. Sighs.
 
Kinda wish we didn't have Memphis so we could give Martial the #7...
 
My heart crumbles at the very thought of Divine Ponytail being hacked by PL defences. Poor guy had enough of a bad time in Italy.
