Super entertaining game, I was afraid to look away even for a second.

What happened with Pogba though? I thought the transfer is already confirmed and he's going to play today.

Busy making his new hair.

Early days but with his talent and transfer fee, he simply cannot be anonymous in such games.

Rooney is a poor excuse for a 10. Yes, he managed to be decisive in some moments, but his influence throughout the game is almost none. Very poor touch, can't think the game.

Just look at how KDB and Silva have been playing. That's the level required for a world-class 10.

Also, when we start Fellaini against top sides, we'll be in trouble. The most he can do with a football is to pass it sideways. And with him in the pitch, we tend to play the well-known long ball to Fellaini in moments of despair, wich is way easier than actually trying to build chances.

As for Rashford, he must be starting now. I have no idea why Lingard was picked over him today.

Disappointed with the loss but I was actually quite surprised at mourinho's bold selection.

His tactics were right but mhki and lingard disappointed

Given that Mourinho has won a couple of Champions Leagues and I'm sure you have won more on FM he really should defer to you in choosing players shouldn't he. I mean he's only got eleven best coach in the world awards he clearly knows nothing about tactics and where to play players

By that logic, we should not criticize any manager for anything at all. After all, they (plausibly) know more football than all of us.

I'm saying he is more than talented to realise that a player who is somehow ruining the team by scoring and assisting isn't actually that bad and as he sees him in training he is best placed to judge

That does not mean fans cannot have an opinion on a player. Also do remember that Jose had Ivanovic down as the first name on his team-sheet last season and let go of two £80m players in Lukaku and De Bruyne (who destroyed you today) so its not like his player judgement has been absolutely spot on recently.

I don't really blame Jose. I think his tactics were pretty good. What went wrong was individual performances.

Only blunder was not assigning anyone to mark KDB.

Thought Mous tactics were spot on. Team selection not so much! Disappointed by the loss, could of got something out the game especially if Zlatan put that away just before HT. Think we should of defo had a peno, but hey you win some lose some. Blind cost us both goals defensively today, but he's been very good as o late. It only takes 2-3 players not at it in these games and it costs you. Bring on Feyernoord now and Watford. Leagues not gonna be won this early. Was impressed with Herrera when he came on and Rashford. Not happy about Pogba playing in a 2!!!! On a good note the u18s won again today 5-3 against WBA in a great performance. Three times in three games we scored 5 or more :)

^ And Pep described Bravo's performance as one of the best he's seen :D (he meant it took a lot of mental strength to bounce backfrom his mistake, but even at that I don't think he bounced back and impressed, he was continuously dodgy)

It should have been a red and pen for Bravo on Rooney but, hard to criticise it as I had to see a couple of replays before I could tell. Dumping him for Hart seems like a really bad decision and while people talk about De Gea taking a couple of year to adapt to the Prem he was a very young keeper so long term he might cost a couple of points but, had potential to make up for the mistakes which he has. Bravo is 33 he really has to take to the Premier League like a duck to water to be a good transfer and from today it doesn't seem like he will

Ivanovic was awful United have scored 7 goals this season Rooney scored one assisted two and his free kick led to the goal today so he was key for over half the goals United have scored this season including winners in each of the first three games

I am not saying you are wrong, all I am saying is that to use the argument that 'Jose knows more about football than you therefore you should shut up' is not really valid especially once you consider the pig-headed decisions Mourinho has made lately. If you actually flip back a few pages, you will see that I agree with you on Rooney's performances this season.

Got the wrong end of it then sorry, I was just using someone who is well qualified on football matters and seems to share my opinion to help back my opinion up

The media are really ripping into pogba tho.

They are expecting him to dominate game ala Vieira from Midfield, which he has never done yet, pricetag or not. They want a mack truck, whens he's clearly a rolls royce. :)

Thats only to be expected with his huge transfer fee. Its not like he has helped himself with what ... showing off 3 different haircuts now is it? No sympathy from me.

What has his haircuts got to do with his performance?

I've seen this kind of thing, with him, Memphis, and Sterling, and it's quite frankly getting a bit sinister.
