We've been ***** for three games now.
I have major problems with Mourinho's midfield. I don't get Fellaini. He's not the kind of DM who sits deep and allows his teammates to go forward. He just pushes up the field and chases the ball like a maniac. His positional awareness is ****.

Pogba, in this formation, is playing in the wrong areas of the pitch. Today he was out best tackler while Fellaini had more dribbles. It's supposed to be the other way around. He's often in possession where his skills can't do much harm to the opposition.

Rooney is a poor excuse for a 10. He doesn't possess the set of skills to be influent throughout the game in that position. Just look at what KDB, Coutinho or Ozil do every game. They run the show.

Mourinho sould not have untouchable players, like was said here. And he needs to rethink his formation. You don't buy a 100 million player to play him in a system that he can't thrive.

I really thought Mourinho would have the guts to drop Rooney where other managers havent, feel as if Allardyce is hoping he does so he can then drop him for England due to lack of game time rather than being pants

I know.He's my favourite manager dammit.I was just saying that if I were in his shoes, that would be the way I'd go!
He just doesn't have the tools to do what he usually does here.He doesn't have a DLP with great vision and Hollywood balls(Alonso)(or isn't willing to play him anyway), nor does he have a really pacy winger(Di Maria/Ronaldo).

I'll never understand why United didn't try to lock down Pep instead. He would be a perfect replacement for LVG, the team was already well drilled in everything that Pep wants to do, it just needed some finishing touches, taking the shackles off a bit, and it'd be ready to challenge.

Instead they bring Mourinho who will play completely different style, the rebuilding needs to start from scratch and they have to go through another 1-2 years of "it's a process" excuses. Terrible management.

He was in touch with city even before he joined bayern. Chances are he had a gentleman's agreement

City started laying the groundwork to woo Pep way back in 2012 when they hired Txiki Bergiristain in 2012.Berg and Pep had worked together at Barca and were great friends, so Pep joined City to work with Berg again.

tl;dr : City worked hard to get Pep, we didn't

One game at a time although I'd be real worried about Leicester and Vardy/ the new fella's pace through your soft defensive middle first off. Watford seemed to really hone in on that today with their game plan.

Liverpool have looked the part so far this season whilst you should beat Burnley and Stoke who have been rubbish the Leicester and Chelsea games are toss ups really on what team shows up on the day, i would say 8 points would be good

I'm hoping Schneiderlin impresses midweek against Northampton and plays mate. Tbf Vardy & Musa rarely threatened in the community shield, Bailly seemed to handle Vardy's pace well, hoping for more of the same.

What I hate about League Cup & Europa League games coming in between a defeat & a next league game, they delay the full effect of the 'bounce back' opportunity.

Leicester - Win :the champions aren't looking like the side they were last season.
Stoke - Win : Not the ideal start for Mark Hughes' side
Liverpool - Draw/slender win for either side: Wild card, really.They play wonderful football, but their defence is suspect.Wouldnt wanna get into a scoring contest with them
Chelsea - Mourinho style 1-0 win :A side struggling to settle into tactics, sound familiar?
Burnley - Confident 3-0/4-0 win

Manchester City have superior and much more technical players, particularly when you take Pogba out of the equation in the red half (who Pep wouldn't have signed), he wouldn't have been as effective at Old Trafford as he is at the Etihad in my honest opinion.

Meanwhile LVG's United pretty much already played like a Pep team on the first two 3rds of the pitch. They could build from the back, they were arguably the best high pressing team in the league and he'd have enough money to spice things up up front. United was a perfect set up for Pep. I'm sure Mourinho will pull it together at least for a while, but this is just ****** management nonetheless.

And I know City were courting Pepe for ages, but that's kind of the whole point. Organization of this size needs to have contingency plans, and at least keep in touch with top managers. Mourinho can be struck be lightning tomorrow, and then what, no backup plan? Seems like United suits got too used to the idea that manager is eternal and they're just making **** up as they go along with no longterm strategy whatsoever.

Not that you'd naturally know not having a need to watch L'pool games, but it's getting less suspect by the passing game.

Maybe it was our plan to get Pep.... we were interested for a long time but when City and their hierarchy became interested there was only ever going to be one winner. He has relations with the City hierarchy from his Barcelona days.
