The Manchester United Thread

Just my opinion but I don't think. Rooney, Wilson, Schniederlin, Schweinstiger, Carrick, Young, Memphis, Januzaj, Jones, Rojo, Varela, Darmian, Romero will survive past the next few windows.

Jeez!!! That's a lot of bodies heading for the exit.
What 13 players do you think we will replace them with?

Not that many lol. If they leave. CBJ, Periera return that still leaves us with 19 man squad including Tuanzebe. Think he will look to bring in 2-3 more real quality additions.

Lets hope we at least create more against Chelsea, I was pretty disappointed in Zlatan/Pogba and our play in general in an attacking sense, we offered very little. Never really looked like creating or scoring much. He needs to gamble a bit more against Chelsea.

Whole week he was crowing about how it would be a comfortable win and now he has changed course to 'Liverpool were so ****, its unbelievable United did not win ... Must be Mourinho's negativity' etc etc

He can't deny the sodium rushing through his veins. He sounds like he turned tables over at the pub after the game

I do expect pogba to respond with a strong performance vs chelsea. I hope mhkitaryan and martial are fit before then.

Herrera made 11 interceptions last night...the most made by any Player in an epl game this season

After seeing a silly "no team has ever won the league at this stage from 7th place" article a few moments ago, I done a little bit of digging and came across a little fun stat:

Manchester United are just 1 point worse off than they were at this stage in the 2008/2009 season when sitting in 6th position on 15 points (currently 7th on 14) having went to Anfield and been beaten in that time, along with failing to beat Newcastle (at Old Trafford), Chelsea and Everton.... before going on to win the Premier League and League Cup, and got to the final of the Champions League.

Really hammers home how early into the season we are, and nothing is won or lost at this stage.

Still happy with the draw and how we played. Yes could of done more on the counter but meh. Liverpool have been light years ahead of us this season in terms of performances. Fans and pundits alike were adamant we were gonna get torn a new one. We didn't we went there completely shut them down bar one close range effort, and the usuall Coutinho worldie effort he tried every match. You can say you were poor but we made you look like that, the way we pressed then defended deep in the second half. Pool had no answer to break us down simple!

Exactly. And TBH I never expected us to win it this season anyway, but we can for sure. All I wanted was for a title challenge and to get back in the CL. And for Mou to sort the squad out. Scary to think this is really players from 4 different managers in 4 years. Hardly surprising were not clicking and consistent. More than happy though we have the right man to sort it out and build his own team.

Hey T.O.D did you hear Barca are eyeing up Angel Gomes? Any truth in it?

They been eying him up for a few years tbh. He's not going anywhere his dad his agent said there is no chance he's leaving, he loves Utd and is happy there. Also said reps from Barca have tried to make contact last season but both player and club were not interested in any talks.
