Finished 1-0 Williams with the goal. Takes us up to 4th I think. Easy game Demi and Olesunde led the line well, Olesunde should of made it 2-0. Harrop and Willock controlled the game in CM especially Harrop. The back 4 were in there slippers half the match. Tuanzebe, Williams, Poole and Riley look far to good for this level despite 2 of them being 17. Riley was MOTM absolute beast up and down the left hand side. Fully deserves his call up with Williams to train with the first team. Riley and Shaw as FBs would be mint!

Ibrahimovic has had the most shots in the league this season, and has now went 30 shots without scoring. He has had 7 major goalscoring chances so far according to opta stats, only scoring once (14% conversion rate, the worst in the league in this particular stat).

He's really going through one of those little spells at the moment, and those were some huge chances too in the context of the games (to open the score at Stoke after a minute which would probably see us go on to destroy them, but held to a draw... to nick a what would likely of been the winner at Anfield... to get us level with City before half time, and who knows after that, although to be fair he finished a much more difficult chance in that game, but it still doesn't warrant you to get away with missing practically an open goal, etc) - so he really needs to start being more ruthless in front of goal and smashing them in. We could've taken at least 7 points from those 3 games instead of the 2, which would've seen us a point off top, even after that Chelsea smashing... but hey, as the saying goes, coulda shoulda woulda.

I suppose the positive thing is he's getting on the end of the chances, making a nuisance of himself, and being the proven world class goalscorer he is, it's only a matter of time before he goes on another typical Zlatan goal run... I'm just saying that his missed opportunities lately have proved rather costly in hindsight. Don't get me wrong, I love him as much as the next United fan, but it's not like he can go out of form and not get flagged up about it like say Pogba or Rooney would, fair is fair.

I agree with this but my other main concern is when we use him it negates our counter attacking threat as well, I'm sure Subtle mentioned along these lines or maybe someone else. Compare that if we had someone like Martial or Rashford up front. But obviously you can't get the best of both worlds sadly at the moment. Martial and Rashford would give you the counter option if played as striker but wouldn't necessarily give you the clinical finishing Zlatan (ironically not of late as we know) usually gives when he gets on the end of chances.

I'm sure Zlatan will come good just going through a spell at an unfortunate time for us. He is class and clinical, and positive he's still getting In there getting plenty of chances. Talking of STRs new signing Nishan Burkhart has scored 5 goals in 2 qualifiers for Switzerland u17s this week. And Ethan Hamilton made his Scotland u19 debut being rewarded for his good form. And Angel Gomes was on fire captaining the England u17s today. Did not watch the whole game but he scored and was running the show after about 20 mins. Taking his tally for England to 4 gls in 4 and 5 assists. Oh yeah the u18 won today against Zelinsk in Slovaki 4-1 in a friendly. Very good performance considering there was no Boonen, Gomes, Burkhart, Hamilton, Bohoui who were all on international duty, and there were a lot of players from the u16s/15s there also. Against a side mainly of u18s/u21s. Greenwood in the u16s is another one to watch out for. Gomes like talent!

It's Zlatan. If he can still get on the end of chances, by the end of the year he should bang 15-20 goals. Which is about as much as you can expect from a guy this age.

I'd rather of bought someone more for the long-term, think about it wisely you wouldn't be blocking Rashford's path anyway because you only have Martial and that's about it when it comes to strikers left at the first team. Unless you want to count Rooney as well but he is obviously done as a player.

Ridiculous comments I read it on Sky Sports this morning, how the **** he can play as a central defender he can not ****** track back in midfield. Also it is 'hard without his family', guessing he did not take this into consideration when taking the job.

I would say Pogba's lack of impact is caused by a multitude of factors but the system and his position is definitely a big part of that. He is never a no.10 and what is he even meant to do there in last two games. Get the ball and run I guess as he has no other support up there.

True, I just hope we know when to use the alternative option and have pace up front! Zlatan be perfect for deep blocks like Burnley but in the bigger games we have seen so far I would of liked to have more of a counter attacking presence especially vs Liverpool. Plus Rashford deserves some time upfront in his natural position, he was great in some big games there last year!

If Zlatan scores 15-20 gls this season he will defo be here next, plus he and Mou have already said he wants to be here more than 1 year. His impact off the pitch is huge also. Listen to the likes of Rashford, Martial even the younger players speak about how much he is helping them in there development, once they get called up to train with the first team.

At the very least you need to adapt and have either Martial or Rashford playing off him in behind and not just from out wide/ inside forward.

He's so easy to defend against on his own now with his lack of movement it's unreal.

You're a centre half who relishes defending and challenges, you'll take this ageing, static version of Ibrahimovic on the downside of his career ANY day of the week in a one-on-one. It's an easy afternoon's work.
