The Manchester United Thread

Navas is destroying Shaw down the right. It's coming to nothing like as the rest of the team has been horrid. But you need to fix that before City make changes.

Wretched half of football. Here's hoping the second half is better.

Hard game for Shaw to come back to be fair after being out a long while.

Well, we were the better side, but as expected at home with a stronger line-up. What I'm worried about is the longer we don't score, or the longer it remains at 0-0, it's set up for Aguero & Sterling to come on and win the game for them, whereas our available match winners are out there already.

Conditions not ideal out there; so many slips, misplaced passes, and the ball seems to glide off the feet of players... obviously some unexpected juice in the green.

You're **** right to FEAR THE DREAM coming on... suck it Scouse :p

lol - what a horrible passing game to watch everything seems to be passed one foot and a half, to the right or left of where it should be, Pep will be going mental.

EDIT: Here comes United Match Winner.. Welcome Kol. ****.

Kolaraov into centre half, no excuses now (no offence), but we have to try and get at them.

Really smart from Herrera. Good finish from Mata, nothing less than we deserve :)

Btw, cheers Carra for giving the old "commentators jinx" with the warranted criticism of Pogba & Ibra, both have been superb so far in this second half.

And how much ground does Herrera cover? Single-handedly and not even arguable that he's our best presser.

Seriously what is wrong with Ibrahimovic lately with missing these chances? Cant get them any more on a plate for him.

What about his inability to keep the ball so far this game?

I honestly don't know what position he's supposed to be playing. And he doesn't seem to know either.

It's like Woodward's gone out and got him come what may without any thought to where he fits. And Mourinho doesn't seem to know how to utilise him either.

This was always Sterlings best position floating free inside for what that's worth.

We are looking better. Pogba is actually playing well now, and the whole team is doing good. I like this.

and west ham/chelsea kicks offf... seats being thrown, who'da guessed

Mourinho seems to like him in the #10 role for these big games, I personally prefer him in the role he plays against your Leicester's, Stoke's & Fenerbache's... in a 2 man midfield as the box to box with a license, with Mata in between either two of Martial/Rashford/Lingard/Mkhitaryan/Depay in that little hole.

Good performance overall, hope we get our confidence back from this if we hold on and Carrick starts Saturday.

Condolences to yourself on what looks like a win.

Being as you want out of the hinderance of the league cup and all.

Sorry mate. Better look failing next round.

Wouldnt actually mind not being in this tournament but ironically this game is perfect for us at this time to get the confidence back after such a drubbing!

Good performance especially second half. Herrera MOTM for me! Special mention for Rojo made a couple of vital tackles and headers. Zlatan didn't score, but thought he was better overall and put in a great shift up top.
